I say enough with discussing the logic of the case. Throughout the course of three years, it has become very apparent that 2x2 will never equal 4 to a murderphile. It is in the hands of the judge now. Political pressure CAN influence a judge (though ideally it shouldn't). If Echols is set free, the pudding that will provide the proof will be particularly acrid. Damien and Baldwin (Misskelley had left by this point - throwing his empty whisky bottle (later found) over the overpass) cleaned up their crime scene very well. 3 little boys go into the woods to play and 3 older boys killed them. It's that simple. Echols failed his polygraph. 2 teenage girls testified he said he did it. Jessie confessed to the police, after the conviction to prison guards (he even told why he gave conflicting info to cops) and confessed a 3rd time even after his attorneys begged him not to do it. This wasn't a witch hunt by a bunch of dumb hicks. Say what you will about lack of physical evidence. These 3 boys convicted themselves.

These "three" certainly comitted this crime. It is regrettable (understatement) that teenagers murdered children in such a brutal and sick way. Once Damien is executed, the others might talk. Baldwin is never going to be released, but Miskelley (rightfully so) will be. He has a sense of honor, so he'll tell the truth yet again. Miskelley is another victim of this absolute abomination scum (the Damester).

@CrusaderEmber what are you basing your opinion on? have you even read the book or watched the documentaries? these three are innocent.Jessie's confession was wrong. he had multiple inconsistencies in it. for example, he messed up the times, said the boys were raped, and told police they were tied with rope. Also, Jessie is most certainly not going to be released, seeing he was sentenced to life plus 40. im interested in why you think they are guilty for the sole reason of proving you wrong.

Jessie will be released eventually. He has the option of parole, and if he were to officially tell the truth yet again (for the record) his parole board would be more likely to let him go sooner. Baldwin for example has life without parole, so he can never be free again (yay!).

He didn't plan the murders, but still did a very evil thing. He should have a life soon because of his honesty.

Hair matching Terry Hobbs was found in one of the knots to tie up one of the kids, along with his friend David Jacoby was also found. He was with Hobbs.
Stevie Branch (Hobbs stepson) was beaten the worst in the head. A knife Stevie always carried was found on in Hobbs possession. Hobbs probably beat the shit out of Stevie, overdid it and killed him and then had to cover it up by killing the other two boys and Jacoby helped.
