Nearly 30 years on and still loving it. Can't imagine any current rock/popstars singing a line like"read Norman Mailer or get a new tailor" -Yes ga ga I mean you and the rest of the present day pop fuckwits. A master class from Lloyd and the rest of the Commotions.
The whole album is just perfect, another anthem to my time in North London circa 1985 until i was on the move again in 1989 to who knows where........................
A sheer talent that should have been raised above the ordinary. I put it down to pop apathy were the powers that be promoted sure bets at the expense of sure talent. Threrefore you could blame the middle of the road people who have been taught not to investigate beyond what they have been taught to listen too by the asholes in suits
ha, you anti semite assholes... i happen to know a few bands whose members were nearly all jews, (at least by birth)...that were signed, touted as the "next big thing", great songs, gigs, etc etc. and they sold far less than ol' lloyd. and were treated like dogshit by the "jewish owned labels" (like sony and emi--check who owns those... surely not jews). anyone who reverts back to the "jew" thing is just an ignorant loser. stop blaming others for your own failures and inadequacies. fucktards.
Lloyd Cole & The Commotions... not a lot came to know about them, from where I am but I always believed, that I was one of the chosen few, to have been given the opportunity to enjoy their music in their own decade.
@myhandle2 are you telling me the music biz is run by Jews?
kin' hell the press, the media.........anything they don't have a slice of?
ok maybe bacon.....
I work for a company owned by a Jewish family,
I recently, had a conversation with one of the owners about the ''recent situation''
he said we in the UK only hear one side of the story, I asked which side was that? the one the press report, or the one the TV stations report, both are owned or run mainly by Jews....he didin't get it btw

@purplecoyle he is not Jewish.. thats why. You have to be a Jew or sponsored by one to be a success. Not racist - telling it as it really is!
