The VAST majority of contestants go through this, and it's painful. But remember - in the regular Deal or No Deal, walking home with $1 000 000 is a very slim possibility. Presuming you're lucky enough to pick the case to begin with, there are two ways to go about it - either be a complete nutcase and turn down every single (offer no matter how good), or manage to keep a safety net of no less than maybe $300 000 in the final two dollar amounts so it won't be such a gamble.

There was actually a contestant on the show in 2008 that shouted "Damn!" very loudly when he eliminated the $1,000,000, his kids, who looked like they were around 10, were in the audience too. I've seen nearly every episode and that's the only time I heard someone cuss on the show.
