  • Men need to realize that they are not superior to women. Man carries the seed in his body and the Woman carries the life inside hers. It takes 2. If you want to think in the terms of equality then Woman is the Superior because the Man simply lays the seed and the Woman brings life to that seed. But, I'll gracefully come down from my heavenly perch and agree that we are equals. Don't hate me because I have a Uterus and you don't. :o)

  • my brother the pulpit is no place for cursing. I am a pastor and was taught to revere and hold sacred God's pulpit. I'm sure you are reaching alot of people for Christ, but this should never be

  • in laymens terms whats he talking about?

  • GOD said ADAM WHERE ARE YOU not Adam and Eve where are you..i always thought that was strange until i seen the 21st century Christian male

  • ADAM WUSSED OUT...and EVE just fell into it....if these girls have fathers, they need to man up and tell her to dump him if they are not married

  • Were is the grace?

  • "Shame on you if you say you're a Christian" - WOW! Praise God it is indeed the Holy Spirit who convicts. Amen.

  • "You are not God, you are just a man"

Exactly. That's why I have to defend myself from women, when men like Mark Driscoll only know how to be protective of women and not men.

  • @Sephiroth1984 are you really that weak, that you have to defend yorself from a woman? THEY need OUR protection, and NOT the other way around.

  • @halskarl

That's exactly the attitude that let's female pedophiles go unpunished and their male victims unprotected, or ignoring spousal abuse from women to men. Far more men are homeless than women, and have you ever heard the Proverbs 31 woman "she extends her arms to the needy?"

  • @Sephiroth1984 I think men are stupid to get married today. The church is becoming too feminised and this is one reason why there are so many single Christians. We live in an age where society is hell bent on bashing men and running them down. Just pay attention to the media, the TV shows, the soap operas etc. But now this male bashing is making its way into the church. The church in the last days will be very corrupt. Only God's kingdom will put an end to all this hatred and sexism.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110

Yeah I think it's up to men to start learning how to love and value themselves, fight for themselves, and start working together--not get tricked into being enslaved by guilt trips (like Mark Driscoll tries to do) and end up manipulated by people who hate them.

  • @Sephiroth1984 Yes, but please watch this video:

"Christina Hoff Sommers on Violence Against Women"

Type this in on youtube. It's a woman who defends men and talks about the lies of feminists that is making society bitter towards men.

  • idiot.

  • :) I always enjoy a sermon that is straight shooting.

  • All men deserve real wemon,if there where not so many tramps out there, then wemon would get real men. Wemon in this day and adge tear most men down to what we are now, wemon wanted us like this, they got what they wanted. We treat wemon how they want to be treated,we treat them as they are, thats life.

  • He's too hard on men and too easy on women like women are children or less than human.

  • @lovejumping2011 If before opening your mouth in ignorance, you knew Driscoll enough to judge him like you just did, you would know that the sermon addressing women was the Sunday after this one.. Do your homework before you make comments that make yourself look dumb.

  • @justinmcburney1 Why can't you people wake up to how oppressive he is of women.I've seen all of them and he doesn't want a woman with any backbone.Calling sombody dumb makes you sound like dumb.Nice bumch you are.

  • @lovejumping2011

One thing that some people realize is that underplaying a woman's accountability is another way of calling them insignificant and dumb--too dumb to be held accountable. On one side, there's an obviously low opinion of women's ability to contribute, and on the other side, no accountability.

Like things that women do don't matter either way--whether their actions are good or bad, they just aren't that significant. That's the old-school American mindset, not God's.

  • Why should we "deserve" anything ? And what about men ? God made the woman for the man , to be her helpmeet .

If women were still REAL women ,there sould still be REAL men. If you can't see how women have always influenced men for good or evil ,then you're really blind.

How can men still be men when surrounded by bossy ,rude and rebel women ?

Don't you know the Bible always says :women submit FIRST and then men ,in return ,love your wives and treat them like a MAN should.

  • @framboise595 Is that what Jesus did? No, He pursued His bride, the church, first, despite rejection and rebellion, and won her over by loving her. If a man is truly conducting himself as a godly man, strong and courageous and gentle and kind, then a woman will hardly see it as work to submit. She can respect and trust him, know she is safe and protected.

  • @Falkon85

I'm sorry but female submission has nothing to do with how "godly" a man is. Proof is , women are to submit even though their husbands don't obey God's Word.

Your way of thinking is why so many women today show themselves as poor victims and keep bashing men for all their problems; A bit too easy ,isn't it ?

So tell me , why didn't Eve submit to Adam and ate the fruit ? Was he not enough this ,too much that ?

She decided to follow the devil BY HERSELF.

  • @Falkon85 But Jesus also commanded the church to repent. He didn't give his church permission to carry on rebelling against him.

  • @framboise595 I solute you for your honesty. I have been saying this for a long time. I believe that husbands should love their wives to the point of death. But people no longer wants to remind women on how they should treat their husbands. Today there is an aggressive form of feminism that is causing women to treat men badly. I believe men should love and respect women, but we should also apply the same rule to women.

    God bless

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 Why can't a woman do the same for her husband.I'd fight someone to save my husband's life. What if the husband is hurt, the wife just stands there like a dufus while some intruder kills him.I'd say to women fight for your husband, don't be a coward.

  • @lovejumping2011 Because people like Mark don't teach this.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 If any of us tried to have a conversation with Mark to tell him our experiences I bet he would be living in his own world so much that he wouldn't hear us.A good pastor listens to the church. He tries to drill his own view into people. He doesn't read the Bible correctly. He kind of has this weird attitude toward women like women aren't even human. He also puts so much blame on men for everything. All the peessure is on men.

  • @lovejumping2011 It's because feminism has even crept into many churches. The best thing to do is ignore him and move on with your walk with God. In the end justice will be done.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 He thinks too much. It's like he's up all night planning these video talks.I'll ignore him.

  • @lovejumping2011 Have you ever read the Bible? The responsibility IS on men. Men are meant to symbolize Christ in a marriage, while women are the church. It's not old fashioned, it's not legalistic, it's not opinion, it's scripture.

  • @rebecca6518 I dont go to a chiurch like Driscoll has.I can't live my life like that and be happy.I don't fit in with the more strict Christians. If you want to live like that you can but I can't live thousands of years back.Christiaity is making me depressed.

  • Please don't let this person distroy your faith. Men and women both need to stop thinking one is somehow over the other and start working together against the abuse of power and of scripture. Read "What Paul Really Said about Women" and Abusing Scripture and find a good church that teaches the truth.

  • @cherylwoodcock1 I wish more Christians thought like you.:) I've been to so many churches and now it's like every other church preaches men controlling women. But I'll still look.:)Thanks for telling me about the book! :)

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 Mark just says what he thinks about women.Women sure aren't all the same but he seems to think so.

  • @framboise5 God made man and woman for each other.

  • wow =) i like him =)

  • Another pussy whipped "real man"

  • Many "strong and independent" women don't really deserve a REAL man.

  • @YksiSuomalainen Missing the point a little?

  • I agree with what he is saying to some degree but some of these women are very naughty and encourage bad behavior for various reasons. I dont think its fair when pastors male bash they should also rebuke women to because not all are perfect!

  • @thelasthourgetready I think we should leave correcting women to a woman, possibly their teacher or so. Mr. Driscoll is a man, so naturally his message is to be to men.

  • @thelasthourgetready true. but you are responsable for your own bwhaviour and how YOU treat your wife. If she`s got sin n her life, thas another issue. Jesus never gives up on us even when we abandon him!!!

  • @thelasthourgetready Very well said. I have been saying this for such a long time. I, too, wish that pastors would balance it out and give women a wake up call to love and respect their husbands. The problem we have today is that people only want to focus on how husbands treat their wives, but not vice versa. This kind of attitude has actually put me off marriage.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 They never balance it out because if they told it like the apostle Paul told it most of those women would leave. Also many of these pastors try to play it smart they tell the women what the want to hear but unfortunately when they meet a guy in church he will not marry them because they dont measure up to the word. I have women tell me 'but pastor says' but I dont care what pastor says its what the word says!!

  • @thelasthourgetready Exactly! It's people like Mark that put me off marriage.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 Mark's sermon the next week was directed at the women...just because of one video lecturing men, it means that he never does the same for women? Trust me...he does, and it tears you up and allows you to realize how far we have to go to be conformed to the image of Christ.

  • @rebecca6518 I know that Mark gave a lecture to women, but he was very soft on them. When he lectures men he dehumanises them and slanders them. It's people like Mark that totally put me off marriage. This is the reason I prefer to stay a single Christians, even Christian women in the church do not want to submit to their husband, and men always get the blame for everything. Ha, no way will I ever get married in this life. Until God's kingdom comes, men and women will continue to be corrupt.

  • I've been married for 26 years and we "defer to each other" we are not in a relationship of power and control where one people leads and the other follows. We lead and follow each other as the true partners we were meant to be.

  • Cupcakes and rainbows. Its a fight over your soul and you make the ultimate choice over yourself, satan, and God. You should already know your choice as of now.

  • I may not be perfect but just because he is speaking in a so called harsh tone does not change what he is translating for the men to realize if they call themselves a christian aka christ like they should be treating out of all people their wife with the most love and respect. Think about this when a father reprimends a child for doing wrong he doesnt always buy the kid a toy and say do better next time, for these men its a wakeup call showing tough love. Christianity walk and life itself is not

  • I struggle so much in this area. I'm single and have a girl coming around. I know that it is just a matter of getting us alone and it's all over.

    Driscoll is hardly radical enough.

Sexual immorality is a sign of someone going to Hell! It's not for "radical" Christians! It's for basic, get across the threshold of heaven Christians!

I just need to shout to myself and hear strong preaching. I know it's true. The sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom.

  • @RomansGalatians You are SO right, and I just want to encourage you to stay strong. Even if you end up marrying the girl, it will take a toll on your marriage long after tying the knot. FLEE from sexual immorality!

  • The background music to this video is a real blessing. It prevents you from hearing Mark Driscoll's nonsensical drivel.

  • Real men preach the real Gospel. Mark Driscoll preaches Calvinism which is another Gospel and therefore not the real Gospel.

  • What a schmuck. It's the height of disrespect to tell a woman she's not worthy to speak in church or teach men.

  • @Trillidotia thats what the bible says so take it up with God, because the bible is Gods word.

  • @springbokbullietjie No, it isn't "god's word"; it's men's. Men wrote it. It's men's words.

  • @Trillidotia in john it says all scripture is God inspired and can be used for teaching and reproof...you are in no authority to question the bible unless you are willing to look in the bible for your questions answers...it has been the only book that has withstood all scrutiny through all of its time. in john it also says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God..and the word became flesh and dwelt among us which. do you understand what that means??

  • @springbokbullietjie I called myself a Christian for 40 years, but when push came to shove, I had to face the truth - it looked like legend and myth. The bible is god's word because the bible says it is? That is called circular reasoning. It's a fallacy. I was a very active church member of many churches through the years, yet never "heard" god, never felt "his" presence, even at my mother's death, when I pleaded for him. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. It's fantasy.

  • @Trillidotia you called yourself christian....first of all you said I..but what did God call you?? the book of Ecclesiastes is actually cyclical itself, the answer to a saying can be found in another verse...how awesome is that. the bible in itself is undeniably the greatest thing we have to read. i dont know if your looking for some physical appearance of God but why would one do so when we have the holy spirit...God is spirit, and speaks to us through our spirit.

  • @springbokbullietjie That's supposing that "god" speaks through the bible. No proof of that. I no longer believe that any kind of personal, loving, parental god exists. Reality indicates there is no such god, and if there is, he's a major league prick, not worthy of praise. What kind of loving god ignores his children in need, for years? As I said earlier, in 40+ years, I had no acknowledgment from god to my prayers. Nothing. Ergo, he's not there. the bible is a very human product.

  • @Trillidotia "called myself a Christian for 40 years". Just a quick question: what made you call yourself one? Because you went to church? If you truly had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (AKA Christian) then you would have both heard from him AND sensed his presence, AND realized that it's not all about you, and would have dedicated your life to bring HIM glory instead of worrying about him not showing up at your Mom's funeral. That's religion, not Christianity.

  • @springbokbullietjie i clearly understand what that means because i have the holy spirit which God gave men to reveal the mysteries of the faith to people who has put their trust in him. if you search for God with all of your heart you will find him... there is no little secret involving this. God will come to you in spirit to answer you its not physical its spiritual, because God is spirit. and the bible defines what God is...as it is written I AM..in other words God is and always was.

  • @Trillidotia Jesus is a schmuck? Just because he tells us that men are designed to be the leaders and women his helpers? Who are you really mad at? Christ or Mark Driscoll who is simply relaying God's intention of men being leaders?

  • @rebecca6518 Driscoll is the schmuck. The alleged Jesus never said anything about women's role being secondary to men - that was someone writing as Paul in the Epistles. Bronze age sexism - BS then, BS still. I will not take a back seat to men simply because I am female. Come on, women, reject this as nonsense. Paul also advised women not to wear braids or "adorn themselves". No earrings, makeup. But you cherry pick the "scriptures." It's so silly. Do not obey men, obey reason.

  • @Trillidotia I totally agree! On every video he makes women sound like we can't think without a man helping us to think. In his world women are a gulliable victim not the strong able people we are. It's sad how many women on YT believe what Driscoll says.

  • The bible does not say to obey men and I never will. Check out the book Abusing Scripture.

  • Please read the book abusing scripture. The helper is not an assistant or a follower.

  • I don't know but he sounds like Christ used to, like John the baptist used to, like Paul used to. Speaking the truth in love has nothing to do w/one's tone or one's vocabulary. I don't know where that doctrine came into play. Christ wasn't a pushover. Mark is speaking to people who name the name of Christ but misrepresent Him terribly, are unrepentant, and abusive. If you think Jesus would say this any different read Revelation ch 2-3.

  • @pcruze81 Absolutely!

  • @IdaSputum RIGHT!!! THANK YOU Mark Driscoll

  • true, but MEN deserve REAL WOMEN.

  • @newchristian488

wrong. as a man you treat them with respect regardless of how you may interpret their actions. love as christ loves you, unconditionally.

  • @newchristian488 Late comment, about 5 months. Just want to say: The husband is to treat his wife as a fellow heir of the grace of God, as a daughter of God, and He is to lay down his life for her, no matter how she is. With that said, I actually do agree with you. A Godly man deserves a Godly woman, and a Godly woman deserves a Godly man. They each have commandments to obey towards each other, and by doing so they fulfill the purpose of marriage.

    So thumbs up.

  • @newchristian488

Yeah, Proverbs 31 allows us to fantasize about that, except for the rare few men who manage to come upon a real woman.

But you just have to love the man-hating title, suggesting that all women are perfect and only a man has to think about becoming "real."

  • Speak the truth in love? Isn't that in the bible somewhere?

  • Mark Driscoll is the bane of all evil. LOL I cannot believe we live in the 21st century and we're still dealing with these nut jobs.

  • what is the full sermon?

  • @KDukes1992 I think it's "Marriage and Men."

  • What's the full sermon called?

  • A little less condemning, really really? This is what we NEED to hear.

  • @FishworksAlaska amen this is truth!

  • Every man should watch the full sermon. Very eye opening indeed.

  • @MYpineapplejuice all guys hv an opportunity to be a man.. n u don't need for someone to GIVE u a chance to be one.. u MAKE your own chances.. can't get a job? study.. volunteer.. n u can't be the only person your age there.. if that's true.. find someone who is n take them to church.. i'm just saying.. it's a process.. i'm still learning n striving but i hope i'm becoming a better man everyday..

  • There are two major problems: There are guys who want to delay the responsibilities of manhood for as long as possible, then there are guys who want to become men but who have no opportunities to find wives, stable employment, or place in the church. Church can be a rough place for young unmarried men - they don't fit in anywhere - too old for the younger people, too young to fit in with the other adults. Some men need to grow up; others need to be given opportunities to become men.

  • THANK YOU! There are not many Driscoll Sermon Jams out there. Very excited to find this. This is one of his best sermons.

  • I know I did! After listening to the whole sermon, Mark really opened my eyes to a lot of ways I was abdicating my role as a husband. Praise God for this man who is willing to tell it like it is, not caring about offending people, but caring more about what God thinks.

  • I wonder how many men changed after hearing this message.

  • this doesn't reach people...

He's right, but he needs to be a little less condemning.

  • @gattizone

it only sounds condemning to those guilty of the charges.

  • @PuritanRapper2583 Yeah but Mark Driscoll has one one idea about manhood.

  • @PuritanRapper2583 Good they need to change.

  • @PuritanRapper2583 Yeah! And you dont seem to care about the people who are being abused by these men! You idiote legalist!

  • @gattizone A little less condemning? This sermon is for Christians. If you claim to follow Christ, yet you treat a woman with no regard for their honor then you should be strictly disciplined by the Church. That is what Mark is doing here.

  • @JAGsoccer

And if women don't submit to their husbands , shouldn't they be strictly disciplined by the church too ? Woman's unsubmission causes God's Word to be maligned among the pagans . Isn't it serious ?
