DSR's... What a joke. A bad mark against a seller carries far more weight than 100's of good ones (though ebay flatly denies this) One can have 4,000 feedback, No negs, with a 100%, 4.9 on all the DSR's, and STILL have a very poor seller dashboard. I don't get it! No rocket science scholar needed here to see what's going on! Ebay... Stop playing the "emperor's new clothes" game!!

I have 1300 perfect feedbacks and I am in danger of being kicked off Ebay for shipping. What a crock! People see the USPS shipping sticker on their package which says $6.74 and wonder why you are charging them $8.95. Well folks, packing materials aren't free and they soared in price once the shipping corporations realized they could get in on some of the Ebay pork. I believe you! DSRs fluctuate even when you don't sell a thing (and haven't for 90 days or more). I've been inactive since May 2008 and my DSRs change.
ABOUT PAYPAL: They are not an FDIC insured institution.
I have the same numbers as you but I agree this is not fair to sellers. I get one negative and my account goes dead after 9 years. I do not move much at a time so my ratio is low. And then you have to chase people for feedback in hopes that this will raise your restriction. My "Monthly" is high in all 4 areas, I have 3.71 for one in the Yearly so now I am dead. Nice!!!
This is not good for new eBay sellers who get registered for the first time and start selling, only one not good rating could take DSR down significantly and sellers with 50 feedbacks or less become restricted from selling. Thats not the adverage eBay wants you to have (I think) its your Overall 12 month adverage... I stopped checking mine awhile ago. Unless you teleport the item to the buyer the day before they purchase it, in perfect condition, and include more than they paid for, your not going to have perfect DSRs... and even then, people will give you 3's because they think 3 means "does not apply"

And get this. this past fri someone from eBay sent me an official message that said my selling restriction had been lifted. then i was told it was a mistake.

Yet as time goes by, eBay has been leaning towards a better Buyers' experience instead of a better Sellers' experience despite the fact eBay gets paid through its Sellers. If you are exclusively ebay, then why are you complaining about their scams, if you don't like it there, then USE OTHER SITES TOO! Same goes for other viewers, expand beyond ebay, explore other options, post and search elsewhere! Tell us about alternative places to deal with.
