they arent carrying on the sound, they are more progressing it. Listening to the earlier stuff on the Fragile album...there are a lot of similarities, but by the time you get to Karma and Effect they are their own band with their own sound. Even Disclaimer is moving away from grunge. All in all they are both awesome bands at what they do so you cant properly compare them, I just happen to listen to more Seether and prefer them musically
