@straighttailpilot you using cs5? then half the resolution... if u using a version prior to cs5 then u need to transcode

@ZeDBeE85 cs4. what is transcode? itll run well in the preview but once its rendered sometimes it stutters and also renders in a very poor resolution when the video is a ver clear resolution. including videos taken from a pc. like a game or such things.

@straighttailpilot make sure when you import the footage the settings are correct. when you open a new project it asks you what type of footage you have. once you edit then you need to export in the right format as well.

transcode is taking large footage and making a proxy out of it (proxy- is a lower resolution of the same footage to edit with)

what camera are you using? also for help go check out HDSLR101 tutorials or type premiere pro tutorials or something along those lines for help :)

@straighttailpilot Ah those handycam cameras.. it seems like i came across the same problem as u wen i had a client bring me footage from a samsung handycam. i have no idea why it becomes so jittery. it could be a factory fault. funny how it happened to you all the way in mexico and me here in south africa. i suggest you take it back to where you bought it and ask them what could be the problem. and please lemme know what the answer is. i'm also curious

I don't have CS5, I hate Premiere.

Premiere looks amazing on the box, and some people seem to have luck with it, but I've tried for 6 years to be friends with Premiere and meticulously do exactly what it wants (in terms of building my computer, how I use the software, etc etc) and it just crashes the F*&K out of my entire life. More than every other piece of software put together.

I have been using adobe premiere cs5 for a month now. If I could return this software I would. It's AWFUL! Nothing makes sense and I have been cutting video on nle for 7 years now on multiple editors. Whoever at adobe wrote this software should be fired.

I got this in trial at the moment, I am going to buy it when my trial is over, but my problem is that, anyway how big i set the screen of the video, I always get this black area around, so the video screen is pretty small, is this only on trial or what is it :S ?

@magnusak1 your importing your files either too big of resolution or too small. check ur camera and see if its 360p 480p 720p 1080p or whatever and make sure u import them at that resolution (it will say *number* X *number* if its say 720p then it will say 1280 X 720 its always the second number) and export them at that resolution to :)
