It's not valve float, or crappy tuning, or a backfire. It's called after-fire and is very common on performance cars without catalytic converters. Also the car is demonstrating the use of an "anti-lag" system, which is used to quickly spool the turbo before launching in a race. Rally cars use anti-lag, and they also use it for keeping the turbo spooled during shifts and braking. It basically revs the engine and dumps extra fuel to spool the turbo, eliminating turbo lag.

Really this happens happens alot in High performance cars. What happens is that the engine is so powerful and the pistons move so fast at the high RPMs, that the valves that are over top the pistons close to slowly due to having slow springs to close them. So basically what is happening is when intake valves opens to let in air and the injector shots in the fuel, the exhaust valve has not yet closed from the previous stroke of the pistons. So basically the exhaust valve should be closed.

@Gruelius It is backfire mate, antilag systems aren't used at high Revs, anti lag systems are used during takeoff at low RPM to compensate for the lack of pressure. Turbochargers are driven from exhaust gases, at low RPM the pressure isn't high enough to drive the turbine/only drives it slowly. Superchargers are driven by the motor, therefore spin at all RPMs and do not suffer from 'turbo lag'. Why would the antilag system kick in if the car was at high rpms=simple, it was backfire.

The Bee Racing Rev Limiter cuts ignition when the rev limit has been hit, ensuring protection of the engine in all conditions.

Your car just fails, Check the plugs, if one is failing it can cause unignited fuel to pass through the cylinder and preignite or not ignite at all, that or your running your motor to lean (to much air not enough fuel)

Actually in this clip it's a spark cut out rev limiter. He pegged it and the limiter cuts the spark, thus unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust and ignites.
