when they were signed by Sparrow, they had no clue that there was such a thing as christian music-just music. so they were completely unaware they were signed to a christian label.

today they still deny being a christian band, even though they're christians, they don't want to put a box around their music.

What I dont get, is why do people call anyone a christian band? that label doesnt describe the music it describes the audience who listens to the music. so shouldnt it be a band that has a christian audience?

No, I'm a Christian and there are bands whose lyrics could be linked to Christianity but that doesn't make them a Christian band. and many non-believers listen to Christian bands just because they like their music. It depends on the band, not the audience.
