  • Hey this is really creative! How did u get the drum track?

  • Hi John and Neil. Thnx for your comments. Makes me really "hapi" - especially ... because the videos of you both gave me the most inspiration to order and play this "spacy" thing :-)) Greetings from Bavaria

  • Well, that's kind of you, particularly in reference to my videos.

But keep posting yours for us to enjoy.

  • Great sound and editing! What kind of mic are you using?

  • ... and regarding the mics and recording ... I used a Sennheiser 504 ,a SM 57 (overhead position) and a AKG C 411 inside. The main mic was the "504" under the sound-hole (I used a snare drum stand for the Hapi). I had some problems with the reverberation effected by a lot of "recording mistakes" ... but the record was never the intention ... so I had to use a lot of filter afterwards. I guess next time I will keep it more apart ... Do you have some mic tips ... especially for live performance?

  • Great. The sound is almost as if you were plucking it. mbira style. There's a Hapi drum group to join on Youtube
