excellent sturdy board @ 3:20 ;) In all seriousness, TY for the video and demo on the use of a router. I have one in a box I've had for years and never used it. Now, I have that added confidence of being a master craftsman from this vid alone.
i feel a sense of humour bypass with some peoples comments here!!!! this is very funny video and i have taken it in the context it was meant!! hilarious!!!
@overcastwithshowers You know what!! I soon as you said: " It's YELLLOW..." I knew I was in for a good laugh!! I started from there....and all the way.looooooooooooool. a breath of fresh as opposed to the videos of the Yankees!!! too serious!!
Anyone who dislikes this video has no sense of humour...and may as well not use a router!!!looool!! It's like people who say they like comedy and don't like Tommy Cooper.
Are you sure you know how to use a router. It is irresponsible to present a video that shows no minimum safety standards for working with powertools, for example, securing the piece on the workbench.
@caredvill23 YEEEEEEEEEEEEAH right!! You got five minutes of comedy and you complaining!! I'm buying a router soon and I think I learned a lot through this video. Alle the safety measures are there! You just have to listen...Mister Mary Whitehouse!!!
you should have that wood clamped down and should never go backward, always go from left to right... cutting IN the direction of the spin is dangerous.
I didnt rate your video bad because I dont think you made the mistakes on purpose but keep in mind you are using a piece of machinery capable of around 24,000 rpm with a VERY sharp bit!!! not something that you want to skip on safety.
@xxIceWaLLxx I read on a site that a single blade on a bit usually travels at around 16 thousand miles per hour at 24,000 rpm that is some serious shit if that bit where to get loose!
Lmao.....That was brilliant!,,

good vid, but you definitely need to invest $20 in one good ratcheting wrench so the bit exchange can go faster/smoother!

@rono8582 That is a good idea, messing about with a spanner is a pain.

@backyardsounds good luck and follow all safety stuff. a friend cut his fingers off the other day using a circular saw.

Those cutters must be really hot to need oven gloves to handle, but better safe than sorry I suppose...lol
