the animals are forced to walk for hours in extremely high temperatures and when the temperatures get over a certain degree the horses are supposed to be taken back to their stalls but they never are because then the drivers wouldn't get any money so they don't take them back.
I've been to NY only twice, so I'm not a 100% sure. I know that one time I went, it was 92 degrees, and there wasn't a carriage running. Second time I managed to get a ride and it was about seventy degrees, and the horse looked well taken care of. Harness looked to be properly fitted, and hoofs looked nice. No sign of being overworked. They obviously where treated well.

carraige rides are good for romantic things but i think it is to hot sometimes for those horses to be out. i dont even take my horse out for too long when it gets above ninty degrees.

When I went up to Montréal, there were plenty of horse carriages and very friendly drivers. Fortunately, there were no PETards to bug us lol. I enjoy watching your vids on the NYC carriage scene. It looks like you see a lot of action. Good luck and maybe I'll see you when I visit NYC.

Each carriage has food and water in buckets uderneath the carriage, there are 2 water troughs , one at the start of the ride, one at the end.
All our horses are rotated to farms in NY, PA and NJ. I own one of the farms!!
You can see it in many of my vids.
Our horses work from 10am t0 5pm day shift, 6pm to 12 am at night.

the animals are forced to walk for hours in extremely high temperatures and when the temperatures get over a certain degree the horses are supposed to be taken back to their stalls but they never are because then the drivers wouldn't get any money so they don't take them back.

I've been to NY only twice, so I'm not a 100% sure. I know that one time I went, it was 92 degrees, and there wasn't a carriage running. Second time I managed to get a ride and it was about seventy degrees, and the horse looked well taken care of. Harness looked to be properly fitted, and hoofs looked nice. No sign of being overworked. They obviously where treated well.

Then there's HSUS who would rather have your dog in a small crate than on a chain with some room. If you don't take his word for it, just go and look at the animals if given the chance. I'm a Animal Rights Activist, As one that was unpleasant to watch. what were they thinking? You have to be able to show abuse. The horses looked well feed, and in good shape. As long as you had food & water on site, and the horses had time to rest between rides. And time off to rest & relax. I would have done night, and day recon of your stables for weeks, and collected video/pic. evidence for a go, or no go on any action. I think that was just a group of people with nothing else to do.
