MJ had a stacked team in the 90s. He was a great player, but he had a hell of a team that had great chemistry. Kobe lost the 2004 finals because they had two aging HOFers that were shadows of their former selves. Plus, they did not have very good chemistry. Kobe and Shaq were having their battles. In 2008, the Celtics were just the better team. They shut down everybody except Kobe and the Lakers could not score. Kobe is a great team player now. He directs everything and makes the passes.
