nice video, only Hamrlik (Hamrlík) - no Hamrilk, he was born in the same city as me ...east of Czech republic, his reactions? = typical playfulness and feistiness of Wallachia:D
this guy has been a good pick except his days are numbered now. He can't score goals like he used to in montreal at least he will retire with a great career
He has had a decent career, but has played most of it on some shitty teams. But 16 years later he is still in the league playing well for Montreal. So it was a good pick. Alexei Yashin who went #2 was a skilled mentalcase who had an ass for an agent. Which is the major reason why is back playing in Russia.
he's played on some pretty bad teams throughout his career. The early lightning teams were awful, the oilers were cash strapped, and the isles were bad as well.
But Roman's luck has changed post lockout. He played one a decent calgary team and currently plays on an exciting montreal squad.
He's the #3 d-man on montreal's depth chart behind markov and komisarek but he could still be a top 2 d-man on a few teams in the league today.
Agreed. To put up points that he did on a bad team like Tampa was phenomenal. It's a shame that he played on good teams at that age. He's not as good as he was.
@hellonicetomeetyou don't forget Sergei Krivokrasov and Sergei Gonchar, the first guy i mentioned was not that great but come on you can't forget Gonchar who was drafted 14th overall by the Capitals. He had the benefit of playing on stacked teams like Pittsburgh and Washington at the time but still this was a weak draft.
local boy from ZLIN !!

Yes, that is JOhn Wells. This is the first draft I ever taped.

Other than Yashin and maybe Straka, there weren't any first rounders from 1992 that was better than Hamrlik.

Waste of a draft pick.
Roman was way too emotional, way to often.
