I've never been knocked to the side with a BB when I have a Star, but that makes no sense to me. A Star is supposed to indicate complete invincibility, why would someone get hit by a BB if they were invincible?

A BB is invincible too. And it has more speed, so it would push a star to the side.

Just because a Anthony needs halp. Average time difference between US and Australia is around 15 or 16 hours (with Australia being ahead), even though it depends on where a person's located and that atrocity known as daylight's savings time! :<

About hitting the bomb karts with items in that race, you could in DD!!, but it had to be a shell or an item that would normally knock someone over like a chain chomp or Egg, so I will assume that it's likely possible in this game as well.
