Nice playing and great sounding guitar. I'm thinking about picking one of these up. Similar crest headstock logo. You're thinking this model is circa late 1940s? Any idea of a more accurate date? I'm looking for mid 50s and older. Thanks
Best idea for the bridge is to simply check eBay in the Kay guitar area to see if anybody is selling one. Or, selling a repro (which I have seen on there). The other is to buy a new compensated archtop bridge, (preferably rosewood due to guitars already bright texture), and have a luthier shape it for you. As far as what it is worth? . . That's certainly up to what you want to spend.
This grate guitar is Silvertone 712 Aristocrat..The boater hat inlay mean made in 1948 or 49.

Wonderful! I was lucky enough to find one of these behind the dumpster of my apartment!
It's missing the bridge though - you wouldn't happen to know what I could do or where I could get one do you?
Thanks in advance!
