I'm getting ready to do a 24hr skin patch test for peppermint, rosemary and lavender oils with sweet almond oil. I can't wait to get that into my regimen. I just wanted to also mention that I've read from many sources that stimulating the scalp a week before and after a chemical treatment is a bad idea (for obvious reasons). So a week after my relaxer, I'm gonna get started. DEUCES! LOL, luv this channel :)
This is wonderful information. Now i do have a question. Is there a particular amount of time that a person should massage their scalp.? I know that when i person gets a massage that they say to not go over a certain amount of time because the body can be overstimulated. Is this the same for the scalp...?
@sweetlifecake I just got ur message but before I did I oiled my scalp with the peppermint oil aproximately and hour or so ago and WHEW!!!! Lawd ham mercy!! EVERY sinus of mine is OPEN!!! lol i still feel my scalp tingling..I don't have any heart problems either but I do know that the fumes was very irritating to my eyes. so i have to massage and immediately wrap my hair up...im ok now but an hour ago i was thinking "this may not have been the best idea" Thanks again for ur reply :)
Actually i think your wrong it dont matter how you massage the other side it wont matter. Me and my sister are the same with the left side of our head grows so much faster than the right side! i think its got something to do with the heart being on the left side! .... I agree with you with the scalp massager i dont like the plastic one i got so havent used it... would be interested in seeing the one you get - as they are so many on the market to choose from!
i'm not surprised that you have 5000 subscribers in jus a year, your methods have helped me tremendously ^_^ i've been following some of your methods for almost a year and i'm loving the results, in the next maybe year and a half i will be able to obtain my goal ^_^ keep inspiring black women to grow their own hair!!!!
that's the reason i love you QB ! so true, faithful to being true ! be blessed, i am a subbie & i loove being subbed to YOU :-) you deserve all the best, because you speak str8 to the point, no hypocrisis (is it correct english? lool)
rambling but i love you, lol, just keep that in mind :-)
LMBO! Butt juice...LOL Whew!...you are hilarious! Love it! I just like how you are so honest and you make so much sense. I have nothing but respect for you and I'm appreciative for you for sharing your own personal knowledge and experience with all of us ladies. :-) Hope you don't mind sharing the scalp massager so we can see what its all about. I might purchase one.
One quick question... Did you do a braid out or twist out? Singles or flat?
your channel is very resourceful and you are honesty you speak str8 to us the viewer w/o the fact stuff or sounding like you're reading from a teleprompter
I had just been thinking my hair has not been growing as fast and I could not figure out why? Then when I saw your video. I have almost stop putting oils on it and I have not been using any stimulating oil. WOW thanks for the reminder . I am pulling out my oils that I in the back off the shelf.
blood flow and oxygen(water) i have been natural about over20yrs of my life and i always cut my hair..but i noticed that when i would do daily or nightly massages of have my better half do it...my hair grew tremendously..and i know this sounds crazy but i also do something i did as a child..lay on my back and let the blood flow that way faster.sounds crazy but it works, and you have to make sure your in good healt all elements work together...love the hair.peace
I love your videos :). they are very encouraging. I was told yeasterday at the BS store the (man) behind the register, told me my hair will never be at waist... i was so mad
@toshyme : Dont listen to people like that!! Never feed into negative energy!! As long as you are healthy you can reach lengths beyond your imagination just as long as you are using a combination of healthy hair care practices and nourishing products that make your hair flourish.
Thank you my dear, great advice. I believe I've proven this to myself as well. I recently started messaging my edges because it was pretty much bald in the front and on the sides, and low and behold I'm actually seeing more hair growth in these areas (peach fuzz). I am truly amazed. I’m also taking Biotin and Vegetal Silica tablets so these may also be doing the trick, but which ever it is, I’m going to continue doing what I’m doing. Thanks again.
Thanks for your advice, what is your Facebook page? I believe Facebook will help you reach more people who need to see videos. Here is to many more years!!
Congrats girl!! thanks to ur knowledge along with my research i made it from NL to a little past APL.. in a year ..Thank you so much doing what ur doing while staying true to who ur are..HHJ!!!
thanks for the video....i have Peppermint oil and i use it primarily in my conditioners when i DC but my question is can i apply the Peppermint oil directly to my scalp? If so no I have to wash it out or can i use it like I oil my scalp with Castor Oil? Just wondering if it will make my scalp burn or break my hair off?
@misstinthehouse funny that i ran into your comment. the hair at the nape of my neck is thin. i never really noticed until recently. my edges are thick though...anyway, right this second i am doing my wash day routine and i applied peppermint oil directly to the scalp area at nape of my neck. there is a little tingle but no burn at all. it feels cool. i applied my hello hydration condition during my prepoo over the same area...no issues..i'll let you know how it turns out.
@misstinthehouse Peppermint oil, like most stimulating essential oils, are not intended to be applied directly to the skin. They should be mixed with a carrier oil first. Those with high blood pressure should be especially careful because stimulating essential oils can increase BP even more. We have to do our research on natural products as well as chemical products. All that being said, I do apply my peppermint oil directly to my scalp w/ no problems(but I don't have any health issues).
@sweetlifecake ok so now its been 2 hours since i applied the peppermint oil and my heart-rate is definitely up but im breathing better since my nostrils are open...i just thought about this but my pillow scarfs and hair are all going to smell like peppermint...i wonder how long this smell lasts...lol
Love ur vids and wat u say. I love how u dont talk too much about products, because ive had breakage and etc trying to use products hyped up. Thank u also for the massage tip. i never do it.
