I agree with eternalsilverlight. The Latin part in this song is Christian. If you look at the lyrics and go to good translate and type in the lyrics it's Christian. But sadly she isn't a Christian
@7Skilletfan She did write Taking Over Me which is about Jesus and she sang Tourniquet. If she wasn't Christian, I don't think she would have sang it. Also, Evanescence used to be classified as Christian Rock. In the little book that comes in the album Fallen it says one of the publisher peoples was like ETI Christian Music Publishing or something--idk, I forget the name :3
@Nutarei THey specifically stated in interviews that they do NOT want to be classified as a christian band because they are not anywhere near that genre. I dont blame them for not wanting to be either because I for one dont follow religion. Yea so what im going to hell well ya kno what I welcome it with open fucking arms. :)
@7Skilletfan what do you mean she's not showing it. What is she doing that's so wrong and contradicting her religion? There is nothing that says she can't express herself through rock Christian music. If you were educated properly you would know that there are different kinds of Christian music. Evanescence sings about life in general.
@7Skilletfan Check out this interview. She states that she is a Christian, but that the relationship between her and God is very personal and not related to her music at all.
@VioletFoxWolf no i don't think so. I think she's just saying that when we're yougner, we're so naive and hopeful, that when we get older, we miss that because we don't believe in the things we did when we were younger...i think?
@VioletFoxWolf@iheartsjonas No she is not against christian faith. If anything you could find some christian stuff in their older stuff(still they are NOT a christian band). This song is about how during childhood your a blissfully ignorant on how the world works and don't have a care for the world. Then as you grow up you see the truth of this world and wish to go back to being "blissfully ignorant"
this songs so haunting and beautiful at the same time. it hits a really tender spot tho cuz thats exactly how i felt a couple months agoand still kinda feel now. such a sad song especially the melody
you just keep listening this. It's hypnosing
