it's really all down to your motherboard, if you look it up it should say what chipset, how much ram etc your motherboard has.

Very similar to the budget system I put together for my older sister last year.

I used that motherboard, an Intel E5400, a 500GB WD Blue, 3 Gigs of Mushkin, and I added a 9600GT for her gaming needs. Still going strong and doing what she needs :]

If the heat sink already has a thermal paste square on it there is no need for more thermal paste guys

@nameles5CSS Considering it is a stock cooler there is probably a thermal transfer "square" under the CPU already.

Well i wish i could go ahead and do it but just don't have the money for it.. i have everything except the motherboard and processor and power supply.. but just that is a couple hundred.. and would love a LCD screen but Oh well.. but greats video watched all of them

I'm going to end up buying stuff to build a nice gaming computer.. I already have 4gb of nvidia Sli ready memory, geforce 9400 gt graphic card and the sound car and the case.. but liad off right now it be a while...

you only need 3 more parts to get it going, CPU, mobo & DVD burner. Thats if you already have a monitor, keyboard & mouse. Dont wait too long it will all get old
