that song should have won him a grammy alone if i could is so relaxing any time i hear it just completely takes any stress im feeling and discards it love that tune
Yes! That's it EXACTLY: whether (I didn't) one attended the concerted; Pat's music is so infused with his Soulessence from whatever galaxy(!) that, whatever I am doing, just the landing of those string's notes snake smoking into my ear canal and I leave wherever I am and go to Metheny Mountain, Sea or Sky and afterward it's as if I just exited a Soul wash to begin anew..truly attitudinal healing for a revived life re-entry..NOTHING like his music/compares & anyone who gets that is my community
Metheny's tribute written for Wes Montgomery. Pat's words ; I wanted to describe the immeasurable gratitude to the greatest guitarist in history..i met him once in 1968 when i was 13 yrs old..he was a kind man" ( Kansas City Jazz Festival) I wished i could've been able to thank him for the impression he created on me that has affected the course of virtually every walking minute of my life"
This is probably the most beautiful song I have ever heard, except for the voices of my beautiful wife and children, it reminds me of my dad. May God continue to bless Pat and that Guitar of his.
agape0112: Yes, it sort of reminds me of long beloved lost members of my own family...of happy times. Very contemplative atmosphere this beautiful tune creates.
Ahh.... such relaxation in this song. I could sleep and listen to this for hours. And I have done so, on the days where I work extra hours, and I just want to sleep, because this is so ethereal, it just relaxes me to hear this song. Thank you, Pat Methany.
So Beautiful!!!!

A fairly simple song for guitar....but, to play it with the same touch and sensitivity as Pat Metheny is NOT easy.

Wanna say 'i love you' and words cannot express your feelings?
Play this! Look into her eyes... she has never got a declaration of love like that before...
