  • I attended a card in Newberry, SC the day the contracts were signed. Steamboat & Youngblood took on The Brisco's. During the match, Jack & Jerry displayed some heel tactics. Someone yelled How much did Slaughter pay you? Jack looked at the fan angrily and said Shut Up! at him. I had a feeling then that they were going heel soon and I was right. The main event was Greg Valentine vs. Sweet Brown Sugar (Skip Young) for the U.S. Title.
