  • where did you get the coaches from?

  • @hornbytrains98 they were bought from Hattons years ago.

  • I am really looking forward to this new layout of yours please dont do non commentary vids of trains round layout all the time because they do get boring but do a few

    thanks

    Jacob

  • hi where did you get this from

  • @trains4life98 - Hattons I think.

  • Will could you review the mixed freight digital set (the one with the class 08 and the jinty) if u have it?

  • i have a Caledonian Sleeper mk3 coach only diffarace is my livery is only one side ... the other is intercity

  • are there electric or diesel electric

  • @blackfive5687 Electric. It has a pantograph on the top.

  • hi i am just commenting on how awsome your train set is i do have one but i only have a virgin voyager and the flying scotsman cost all together £160 also do you know where i can get the class 90 for cheap price online

  • @joshbobjim1 - this was filmed over a year ago, I'm not sure where you would get one now but if you look around online and ring up model shops you might be able to find one.

  • inter when are you going to make vid on your proper layout

  • @poisonarrowfrog100 - you mean when am I going to upload a vid on my proper layout? ;) You must have missed previous messages, updates and tweets. The majority of vids featuring the new layout will start in Spring 2012.

  • thank you

  • im a massive fan of ur vidios so could u tell me where u get ur trains from and how much they cost

    thanks :)

  • @leftmid18 - that is a HUUUGE question. All I can say is I buy them from all over, including local model shops and online - and I always get the best deal I can. Well, 99% of time time :)

  • May i know where you buy this set?

  • Hi again,

Could you please tell me the product code for those 3 coaches you already had as I am going to get those 3 with the NEW Class 90 which incidentally is DCC Ready.

    Thanks

  • @ishan99b - the packaging is in storage, but if you look on Google for this set you will find the code for it.

  • @InterCity82 Ok :)

  • Hi ,

I'm thinking of getting this pack. Would you know how to make the Class 90 DCC?

    Thanks!

  • @ishan99b - See the video 'How to DCC a non-DCC Ready Locomotive' on my main channel. The video features a Class 47 but a Class 90 is chipped in almost exactly the same way.

  • @InterCity82 Ok thanks very much! Looking forward to this friday's vid! Cant wait :)

  • for the penzance to london pad they use a clas 57

    just incase you didnt no

  • can you do a video with a over head sistem

  • really wish there was an N-guage version of this train pack :/. It's fantastic.

  • @kenwyne67 - there might be in time? The actual train and service and still going anyway.

  • @InterCity82 still going strong. What a buzz it was for me to see it at Motherwell one morning while waiting for my cross country service. Very much unexpected. great service!

N guage coaches are available, but it's that loco that it so cool man!

  • when it leaves London Euston??

When it leaves Caledonia, rather ;)

either way I know, but I feel it is a Scottish service!

  • the class 90 is my favourite locomotive

  • I LOVE that Class 90! :) I'm in the US, if I were to order some Hornby stuff off the website, could I get it shipped to the US?

  • @GECP4256 - check the Hornby website.

  • @InterCity82 Alright, thanks.

  • how much was that

  • @BenTrainFan - about £70 I think

  • @InterCity82 cool i might get it

  • That looks awesome, I really want it because I am going on it in the summer.

    Liked! :}

  • i cantfiinndd it

  • @MrTrainZone - it will be hard to find now as it was several years old when I got it, over a year ago. But if you phone around various model shops you might find it somewhere.

  • Can u still get this train pack

  • @Liverpoolfcfever - if you look hard enough, yes you can :)

  • you can only get t the loco

  • thay dont do them

  • just a quiki youve spelt from wrong

  • @drs66412 - haha! well spotted! A typo tho I think, not a spelling mistake. Corrected now.

  • Would you reccomend getting a hornby class 56 or a hornby class 60 for my layout? You make so many great vids!

  • @SWFgaming - thanks for the comment! And yes, I definitely recommend both of those! :)

  • where do you get the coches from.

  • @MrTrainZone - the coaches for this pack came from Hattons of Liverpool I think.

  • ive seen one brand new on ebay for £94 is this a good price for this loco as it is fantastic!

  • @jackakapieface - £94 for the just he loco is too much.

  • lovely

  • Which Diesel do you suggest I get for pulling 15 Shell tankers?

  • @RCProductionable - so many choices! All the following are good, class 37, class 20, class 40, class 50, and of course, the class 47 :)

  • I got this today!

  • Does the Caledonian Sleeper come with its own tracs too?

Like the Eurostar pack. or is it just the train?

  • @manthanboeing - it's just a train pack. No track.

  • where did you get the ramp

  • @MrDan2233 - a local model shop. But I'm thinking of putting them online so other people can easily buy them too.

  • @InterCity82 do thay have a website the shop

  • @InterCity82 do thay have a website the shop

  • @InterCity82 - the shop was in Northwich, not sure of the exact name but there are only two in Northwich as far as I know, one of them is S&J models, and it wasn't that one. :)

  • i want ews

  • @T0pper221 - a 5 pole motor is smoother and newer. Because of how motors work, the more skew-wound poles in a motor, the smoother they run. The rigfield motor has only 3 poles I think and so cannot spin as smoothly. (Look up how motors work)

  • Can't wait to see that

  • I have the hornby sleeper set, but my 90, is 90024

  • when will you add the overhead wires?

  • @hornbymanzpc - they will be added to the proper layout only

  • @Buzzzflyer99 That is parcels red. It was the standard mail and parcels livery introduced in the late 80s, and was replaced in 1991 by RES red (Rail Express Systems) which is similar but has 4 blue dashes down each side and is sometimes nicknames "blue flash" livery. Hornby did 1 version of each on the class 90. 90 020 parcels red, and 90 018 RES red.

  • ok! I have finally chose this is the one i want for my birthday!!

  • Thats class i'm normally into sncf but that runs so well. My only complaint would be that it doesn't have lights. btw what are those white patches on the track?

  • @CurvaSud14 - the blu-tack helps to hold the track in place on this temporary layout

  • @InterCity82 Oh right, that's actually quite a good idea.

  • where did you get the ramp

  • @thomas18787 - from a modelshop in Northwich

  • good value

  • how much?

  • @2mirman - about £60 I think

  • shame it dosent have lights im

    getting it for xmas :)

  • @tara2578 - true, although it is possible to fit them yourself - I shall be doing just that as soon as I can get around to it :)

  • wow im subscribing dude

  • awesome it's a beautiful country just watch out for the snow

  • i just got this train pack at a model railway exabition in falkirk in scotland it runs like a dream

  • @modelmovieproduction - ace! I'm in Scotland for xmas actually :)

  • @modelmovieproduction - ace! I'm in Scotland for xmas actually :)

  • @lukestarspeeder - me too! I've uploaded a video or two on her :)

  • i like your video

  • I love this train but does it look good on your layout or is it random

  • @Trainmaster111 - she looks brilliant on it :)

  • Lovely sound when all the carridges are on her - another great Vid ;)

  • Where did you get it from? I can't find it on the Hornby website.

  • @Ru4r41dh - I think it came from Hattons of Liverpool, months and months ago.

  • Do you know where I can get the care sheet for a Class 90 Loco? I just got one second hand. It came with the box but no care sheet. it runs really nice. I plan on swapping off the couplers for Kadee's so I can pull U.S. rolling stock.

  • @Mrg610 - they might be one someone has scanned in online if you have a look - alternatively you might be able to pick one up from your local modelshop?

  • its a good train im sleeping on it

  • @MrHornbyman66153love - LOL - very clever

  • can you make a video of all of the train running round your amazing track

  • @MrHornbyman66153love - lol - hmmmm not easy but i may try

  • 8:24 , just spotted that your coach is off.

  • Hello, Im new To Model Railing, do you know if the EWS version will be DCC compatible, This is my favourite class of train!

  • @heavyhaulage1 - I'm positive the new class 90 in EWS will be DCC ready. I very much doubt Hornby would bring out an essentially new, re-engined class 90 and not include DCC compatibility. The motor is now a 5-pole skew wound job too - so it'll be stronger and run smoother!

  • @InterCity82 Thanks Very Much for a reply.

  • @heavyhaulage1 all locomotives are compatible with DCC, some just need more work. *grumbles about haveing too use kits for the era*

  • @thing2liv Ok Thanks!

  • my caledonian sleeper just came today i loveit its just great !!!

  • @tpe18509 - haha, excellent! Yeah she's lovely.

  • How do you get them around the curves

  • @RailroadmanSpot989 - what do you mean? Mine go round the curves ok.

  • hornby should still make a class 90 in gner livery ive seen one on ebay before though!

  • ive just ordered it from hattons cant wait for it to get to my place!!!!!

  • this a class 153 and 56 are must haves

  • Class 90 haas to be my favourite loco

  • @Hartsock91 - yeah one of mine too! :)

  • I have one more question about this train before I purchese the train does she have pick ups on all wheels??

  • @tpe18509 - well she does pick up from both bogies but not exactly from all wheels.

  • i don't want this loco ... i NEED it!

  • @Hartsock91 - lol

  • I wish they still made this loco in Virgin Trains livery i would love to get one :( although ill be happy enough with the new EWS Pretendolino train pack :)

  • @ApacheBravo - hmmmmmmm I agree

  • When will you add the overhead wires

  • @BRIntercity - they are being added to the proper layout - not this temporary one

  • Found some! if you go on Google Images and type in: Hornby Mk2 Caledonian Sleeper coaches and go on page 3, there is a picture about half way down which shows you a picture of what they look like. Please do get a couple of hornby Mk 2's and repaint them because they would look great on your layout! :)

  • @Badgersize - lol, maybe one day. That's a lot of work tho, and I'm already upto my eyeballs in things to do, paid and unpaid lol So it might be a while before you see any yet but I will definitely look into it.

  • Now you just need the Mk 2's to go with them because then you have the lot!

    Love the class 90!! :)

  • @Badgersize - yeah, and if you see in any in Caledonian Sleeper livery, let me know! lol

  • nice train, are you thinking of getting a Hitachi class 395

  • @legoboy25600 - there are no plans to - at the moment.

  • Great video this has convinced me to get the caledonian sleeper

  • @tpe18509 - hehe, you won't be dissapointed. It's a really smart train. And the class 90 is lovely.

  • looks really nice. Why don't Bachmann do the class90 & other electric loco's?

  • @Barryat11 - I don't know - but the class 90 is about to be re-released by Hornby with much better detailing and a 5-pole motor.

  • wouldnt it be nice if bachmann or hornby did a class 37 caledonian sleeper

  • @MrJezza31 - class 37?? You mean class 67?

  • @InterCity82 have you never seen the class 37 hauled caledonian sleepers?

  • @MrJezza31 - no, only class 67, once they get to Scotland

  • @InterCity82 the 37 sleepers were brilliant they ran through the highlands

  • its a shame that the lights dont work and the buffers arent spring loaded but a good loco

  • @cazy1395 - it is an older model, so maybe that's why. But it is possible to fit lights to it, and even sprung buffers. I didn't buy it for that tho, I like the name of the set and the class 90 loco.

  • thanx for the review it persuased me to buy it=) and i defineitly dont regret it even when its whells seized up thanx again

  • @introducingmichael - hehe, you're welcome

  • @introducingmichael It persuaded me to buy it too!

  • my classs 90 has got its front bogey whells seized up

  • @introducingmichael - you might notice a small bit of plastic that jutts out from the underside of the loco, near one of the wheels. I snipped that bit off and now the wheels on it never lock up.

  • 10 more coaches and u get the full rake!

  • @edwardsweeney24 - hmmm, I'm happy with 6 :)

  • @InterCity82 lol

  • Sooo...Does it have lights?

  • @tpxpress - no, but it is possible to fit them

  • @InterCity82 Thats a shame, but with my grandad a electrician...Easy lights for MEEEEEE!

  • Great review of the class 90 caledonian sleeper!

  • @simonpercy6 - thank you!

  • I often wonder why Hornby has never offered an overhead wire system...even just for show...

  • @clusterfak - Peco are bringing out an excellent one very soon!

  • "Form" Hornby??? lol

  • @AC130scoobs - from as in brought to us, the consumer, by them

  • does the 90 have lights?

  • @alexamltd - unfortunately, no

  • if u get dcc do all the locos even the small hornby rubbish ones go slow?

  • @MrFlix76 - when you DCC a locomotive it can go really slow yes, and that applies to any locomotive, even ones with small and basic motors. But they won't move quite as smoothly as ones with big 5 pole motors.

  • Top speed is 110mph!

  • @00VirginTrains1 - yup!

  • i would love to own the class 90 Caledonian Sleeper set

  • @class90fan - it's a really nice set, I do recommend it

  • btw, each sleeper coach has 12 births with 2 beds per coach (except 1st class where there is only 1 bed) + a toilet and a room for the attendant

  • @gasheadd1 - thanks for letting me know

  • I love it when the "hand of god" comes down to move the switches lol. Great stuff!

  • @clusterfak - haha yup

  • @Dinasdash - thanks! and yeah, they're nice locomotives

  • there £79.00 now but with p&p its £83.00 but its next day delivery so it is quite fast

  • just got my trains out n my track for a few days on floor and put my class 90 frieghtliner on and wow they go fast and mine goes in a circle at full speed without derailing its great

  • @helloimearl1 - lol, but bear in mind they wouldn't go that fast in real life.

  • @InterCity82 yes the ones with the new motors probably dont have as much speed in them

  • where do you get the over head equipment?

  • @Eggysproductions11 - best to wait for Peco to bring theirs out - should be out soon, and sounds like it will be really good!
