My friend and I used to hate the "Game over" dialog together with the dismissive sound at the end, as if you just died and lost! It always made us wonder if we did anything wrong and if it could be avoided. Good times back in the 90's!

I remember playing this great though very difficult game when a was a kid. I played it so long that I finally made it to Shreder without any cheats but i was never able to beat him.

Used to beat this game without any trouble :D ,except one it does get way to redundant doing the special attack over and over again...Honestly i could go without getting hit even once up to the snow stage (the boss usually scored the first hit on me)

the trick to beat krang without losing too much hp is to wait till he shoots his laser at you.. once he does that you can jump kick him and get out of his way. most likely youre still gonna get hit a lot but not as much as you would if you just kept kicking him and getting a boot up the ass.

I finally beat this game today, thank you for using the cheat so I didn't feel as bad for 9 lives. It's a lot goddamn harder with 2 lives. Maybe someday I can beat it without the code, today? Not that day.

@samuraikarasu I used to be able to beat it without the code, at least with a friend and with continues.

This was kind of a spur of the moment thing and I only used the code to make sure I could get through the game in one go.

I remember when I beat Krang and the Shredder for the first time I was 8 years old and for a few hours there I thought I wasn't a boy anymore: I was a man, I knew everything that had to be known. I went outside and bought myself a bunch of Popeye cigarettes and acted as if I was smoking them.

Its like you never win if its game over...haha nice job. After watching this though im kinda mad..me and my sister got all the way up to crang and then died, it did seem like he wouldnt die. And if we had known Shredder was right after him then we would have tryed even harder to beat Crang, but we gave up cuz we were at that game all day.

Seriously, he's the first boss I face in this video. He's an alien brain from Dimension X who was exiled to Earth. Shredder built him a body in exchange for his technology.

He's a staple of the 1987 cartoon series, but doesn't make any appearances in other TMNT series.

Are you nuts? He was just as much of a pain in the arcade. I thin by that point, though, you were just cramming money in so fast you didn't notice.

If arcades taught our generation anything, it's that if you throw enough money at a problem, it goes away.

dude Krang IS the hardest boss in the game, but is relatively easy to beat if you're fast and can avoid his attacks. Shredder's trickier to avoid, though, and he's the only one(sans Krang, of course) who's stripped me of a life, but never a continue. So yeah, and the special is your best friend with krang but the jump kick is your best friend with shredder.
