  • You can rent all your life, renting is not necessarily a precursor to buying a home. By the time you pay taxes and interest on the mortgage and maintanence on your house you are paying 3x what it would cost to rent. Plus if you have to move you could take a loss on the house. Very little of the money spent on a house builds equity. In the USA if we were not force fed the idea that everyone HAS to buy a house we would not be in the financial straits we are today.

  • lol ok thats clever... but you know whats even more fun? going away to college when you could have lived home for cheaper and then when you graduate college and you are in debt with student loans and you have to move BACK in with your parents, instead of finally being on your own... so you see when you go away to college you are never really on your own yet.
