Just bloody typical - WDR show such shows on German telly, but here with Purple being practically a British institution, nobody gives a s... - especially the idiots from the BBC. They are sitting on archives full of bllody good live show, but never show them again!
Imagine this..a jam of ego's Steve Walsh (Kansas),keyboards/vocals, Ritchie Blackmore guitar, now they'd only need a temperamental bass player and a drummer and everyone would just walk off the stage at once, that would be the act.. that and maybe a cameraman taunting Ritchie by "getting too close" he could chase the guy around the stage..
I liked the version that Blakmore played on the guitar to" Ode to joy" from Bethoven.I know how to play this song on the keyboard and love to do it,because it is one of my favorite song among the more than 30 pieces from different musical styles that i know how to play on my Yamaha psr 240 keyboard.
Hey, in the final part Jon kisses his Hammond and you cut it!! :-(

On bass: Jack Bruce (The Cream)
Why not Paice or Bonham at the drumkit?

This is Ian Paice on the drums!
And why Jack Bruce, if you have Roger Glover on bass?
