  • e nomine patris, et fili et spiritus sancti! latin is one creepy language...im doing this for talent show or american idol!

  • i would love to help wat there sayin....but

i dont understand that language.....im sorry

  • @edu03331 The language is Latin...that's a hint

  • do you even know what socialist means? brazil is not a socialist country.

  • ya know i may not be religious and don't know much about religion but even i know this is from the bible except in German and a mix of Latin and still this song (excuse my french) this song is fucking awesome i listen to this everyday i am addicted to this fucking awesome song the whole song is fucking awesome 10 out of 10 and a big thank you to the guy who put this on youtube and a even bigger thank you to E Nomine for making this song

  • Latim "Sempriternus testare"

  • This kind of music REALLY makes me wanna learn Latin!!!

  • I wonder what they meant with "the Lord is a shadow over your right hand".

BTW, completing what Dreveryn said, the group's name, "E Nomine" means "Without name" while "in nomine" means "in the name of".

Argh, I would love if here in Brazil we speak Latin instead of annoying portuguese, but truth is that Latin is too fancy and serious to fit a ridiculous people as brazilians.

  • @SturmFuhrerx You are the ridiculous one for making fun of your own people, it's anti-patriotic and shameful.

I was agreeing with you until I got to read that stupid statement of yours on Brazil.

You should be ashamed of yourself, or at least acknowlegde that despite the education the government gives to the people - and their lack of interest, Portuguese is indeed a complex language, no wonder it's a variation from Latin itself. Instead of dishonoring your country you should help it improve.

  • @ElizaFaustoTsunade I don't care about being patriotic. Why should I praise a country ruled by people who want to control all aspects of my life? I don't like slavery. I won't be ashamed of my anti-patriotism as long as Brazil continues to be a shitty socialist country supressing people's freedom.

I just expressed my option: I prefer latin. Who dishonour this country is it's Minister of Education, who says "it's right to speak wrongly", not me; I'm not destroying portuguese language as he does.

  • @SturmFuhrerx The Minister is a shame, yeah, but his doings shouldn't reflect on your action towards the people. Portuguese isn't an annoying language, some accents are indeed. You aren't destroying Portuguese you are destroying your people through morale.

Brazil is not a shitty pseudo-socialist country, I aggree the government sucks, but as I said, this attitude helps nothing, you are doing just like them, you don't care and bash out everyone else. It's way easier to dump your shit on YouTube.

  • @ElizaFaustoTsunade Where I said Brazil's a "pseudo"-socialist country? Brazil is a truly socialist country, and 'tis what annoys me. My actions toward people is not of your concern. I think brazilians suck and 'tis my right to think so. I'm not destroying anything. Who's destroying people is the State, through subversion.

And just because I criticized doesn't mean I don't care. Make an effort and please understand that I simply expressed I would like to speak latin instead of portuguese...

  • In interlude they say "et filii, et Patre" or whatever means "of the son, of the Father" in Latin.

  • If the Vatican had it's own "Epic Music," I would think it would be this.

  • Love This Is Song! ;)

  • aeeeeeeeeeeee achei massaa xD

  • Amo essa música!

  • (Sempiternus Testare)

    That's it

  • the song is called under water but it is in Germen the rest of it is in Latin. it is nothing about the lord's prayer, its about water.

  • @narutofanb33 You are completely wrong.....

  • @narutofanb33 um.. no. The name of the song is vater unser (our father) idk where ur getting water from

  • @therealNDX He's mistaking it with "Unter Wasser"

  • @narutofanb33 Unser Vater= Our Father. Nothing to do with WATER.

  • the correct spelling is "E Nomine Patris Et Fili spiratus sancte" there is no second "et"

  • @iplaygo77 Proper Latin Grammar allows both....

  • @iplaygo77 I like how you mistake your spelling in your correction. First of all there is a second "et." It is "In Nomine." "E Nomine" is the name of the group. "filii" has two "I's." And it is spelled "Spiritus Sancti." So it reads like this: "In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti."

  • HEY you noob they singing hello hello bratwurst i love your penis ^^

  • ,,E nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti" hört sich so genial an

  • Sempiternus testare. It means "Everlasting will"

  • ma das müste man immer so inna kirche singen (beten halt)

    :-D

  • Unbelievable. He managed to make the Lord's Prayer sound bad-ass. Respect!

  • "tasso55" that ist german text not latino^^

  • enomine patric etfiele siritus hää da ist was falch oder ???

  • Comment removed

  • Vater unser der du bist im Himmel ... :)

  • Macht mich süchttig

  • e nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti:

(<- gar nich so schwer! xD)

  • but... what are the words of the latin choirs? I can't understand. I searched some latin prays and they aren't the same of the song...please help me

(Also Befehlston mehr) ;-)

  • E nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti means:

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

For all those who do not know what to say amen: amen means as much "as it is"

... can unfortunately only in German if it is mistranslated I'm sorry^^

  • Sempiternus Testare

  • ...

I feel like someone's putting a curse on me when I listening to this.

  • It does sound pretty damn cool like that. I was attributing it to being in German, but they actually make kinda badass-sounding English and Spanish versions, too...

  • Umm, guys.. It's just the Lord's Prayer in German, with a traditional Latin closing meaning: "In the Name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost."

Also added is the phrase: "Father! Hear my voice. Hear my voice!"

Basically the song is a prayer. The chorus is the same Latin, just drug out because of the choir style singing.

  • almeno il latino, scrivetelo bene!!!!

In nomine padrii, filiis et spiritus sancti cazzo!

  • Sempiternus Tastare, Sempiternus Tastare

  • it s a spanish sentence : se sincero in english will be : be honest

  • i think the interlude is " tempeiridus et vardarit

  • kintaro001

bei den stellen wo Interlude steht

    verstehe ich einige wörter nämlich:

    Imperius In Nomine Imperius...

    den rest verstehe ich so:

    In sta mine (wortlaut)

  • this don´t need to be translated. because it´s the church´s "our father".

just pray more, than you know the text *hahaha*

I can translate any Enomine songs into English if anyone needs them.

  • yes but you use the translator xD ... bc its totally wrong what u wrote in german ^^

  • I know.... I am not that good at speaking it..... but I think they can guess at what I'm trying 2 say.... oh well the offer is still up.

  • Could translate this song into english; it really cool, but I no idea what the song means...is it a religious song, since he said "Amen" in the song, right? ^^

  • @HARPIE411 It actually a prayer, maybe you could google it and find the english version. I' msure it exists, I just never searched for it. I thought knowing it in two languages is enough^^ In german its called "Vater Unser" just like the song, of course. Hope this helps

  • Thank You.

    It did help.

    I'm glad for you assistance.^^

  • Since Amen means, "I agree", it doesn't mean that it's religious.

  • Huh, I didn't know that.

    Thank You too.

    (^_^)

  • Um... no it's not.

  • Shit, I think I was on something when I first heard this.
