@roger82it nope, SIA uses the A380 to HK . It is not a long distance flight. HK is not a stopover or anything, is the destination.SIA uses the A380 to Narita,London Heathrow, Paris CDG,Melbourne,Sydney and etc...

@gordoncampion false, the force of the landing depends on the weather, reamaining weight onboard (I.E, fuel) and the skills of the pilots........FAA would not approve an aircraft it it just slams on the runway.
