nice... let's pick on the the Icelandic. I've actually been to Reykjavík. It is a nice city, unfortunately I was their in February.

So you probably been here for like a week or two. Then it's really nice TOWN. If you stay here a little longer it's just booooring. Oh, and Reykjavík is famous of it's night life witch always make me laugh.

No one was complaining about the 'incompetent government' when money was pouring in from mainland Europe. It was only when the party ended that everyone got pissed off.

how are the police reacting to this. and the military, i dont know much about iceland but WHEN this happens in the US, im sure there will be military and police presence everywhere and people will probably be getting shot

they pacified the crowd with pepper-gas few hours after i went home. they said it was because the bonfire protesters made of trash boxes was too big. but the next day protest leaders talked to people that policemen are just people like them and crisis is affecting their lives as well. protesters gave policemen flowers and there was no more fighting with police since then.

the front chanced after 3 atemts from police to clear Lækjartorg, using strong teargas,the pepper spray is designed to neutelize Poles, it refreshes us. a part of the crowd was so totally crazy they took stones from the whatever its called broke them in 2-3 kilos pieces stoned the police at lest 1 was seriusly injured, then 10 people from the crowd made a wall defending them with there bodies I was proud of being Icelandic then

and military... there is no army in iceland. ok, maybe navy but it's just border guard, don't even know if you can call them the military. and police doesn't wear guns here nor even teasers.
