On the reverse side of the coin most Homosexual media portrays white males as the most beautiful aesthetic over other ethnicities, and men of color tends to be objectified
@Soushokukeidanshi And you're basing all of this on....? Just pulling shit out of your ass? I just see evolutionary psych babble you made up about 10 minutes ago.
@Soushokukeidanshi You know where my inbox is, you can easily send a link. Or simply put the names of the studies or researchers who did these so-called "studies". But then, they likely don't exist, because like I said you pulled it out of your FUCKING ASS.
@Soushokukeidanshi 70% of the links you provided aren't even directly related to the topic at hand. They point out that there's differences between men and women. But it doesn't relate to women valuing physical attractiveness in men. The relevant data you DID provide is not conclusive. A sample size as small as 200 and relying on a response to one individual advertisement doth not empirical data make. Additionally that still doesn't prove whether the difference in value is innate or learned
You are right on. Men seem so uptight about the sexiness and sensuality of their bodies. There is so much female nudity on tv for example, well I would like to see some men in a sexy manor wanting to please women. In the casinos in vegas on the strip, why can't they have a male dancing for women to enjoy. What are men afraid of? I don't get it.
@dragonlady670 Exactly!! I think men being able to sexualize women gives them a sense of power, it makes them uncomfortable to think of themselves as the prey instead of the predators--so to speak.
@I2onney There's nothing undercover about my sexual orientation. Good to know you've exposed yourself as a homophobe though. Have a wonderful evening.
I find women are more in control of media and or what people buy now more than ever.
If the body image or the perfect image women think men want, is what you are talking about? Women are having the plastic surgery.
I personally think.Men are not all that complicated and that men do look for smart intelligent women who are capable of raising his children. Most any way.
I see a lot of women have a princess complex and think rules do not apply to them.
@pencilsharpenner42 Women are in control of the media? LOL, that's a good one. And I'm not sure what women having plastic surgery is supposed to mean. If anything that furthers my point. Women are objectified in the media, thus getting plastic surgery to try to fit into the narrow idea of beauty men have been pushing for years.
@LimelightsFaded LOL, regardless of if pencilsharpenner42 had logical points or not, you act as though you are correct with your response, here is why.
How do you know women are not in control of the media?
Where is your prof that women are not in control of the media?
I'm not saying that women are in control of the media, just that you have dismissed an opinion stated to you with sarcasm, granted without prof it's a loaded statement, but please present prof and not mockery if you're serious
I largely agree with the content of this video in that the heterosexual male perspective dominates the media and other things. Where I disagree with you is when you imply that it is the responsibility of the heterosexual men to fix this. Obviously we're always going to be ok with there being a bunch of female nudity, so it is up to the people who WANT to see the other side to change it, as well as it is the responsibility of women to stop acting out that role if they don't agree with it
The reason the male perspective is so prevalent is because men largely control the media. Women can't change it if most movies and television shows are written, produced, and directed by men. Something like 12% of the writers and directors in Hollywood are men even though women represent 51% of the U.S. population.
I'm gonna assume you meant to say 12% of the women...
And if 12% of the writers are women while they have had the majority of college students for a WHILE now, who's fault is it that they haven't decided to write more good scriptsand get better at directing?
when did i say it was because they are not good enough? seriously
i said that they just had not done it, and i believe that they should do it if they really want to change this. the fact is that women and men are motivated in very different ways, men obviously strive for things like money more, while women strive for security and happiness in their occupations. this is the main reasons for such gender discrepancies, it's not a problem really, until people like you make assumptions
You said they need to write more good scripts. What makes you think they aren't already writing good scripts? You said they need to get better at directing. What makes you think they aren't ALREADY just as good at directing? You assume that just because women make up a small percentage that it's because they're not creating the same quality of work, rather than acknowledging the lack of opportunities available to them in a male-centric industry.
Your comment about men striving for money while women strive for security and happiness is both baseless and irrelevant. And unless you have firsthand experience of the struggles of women in the business.--which I do--you might not want to make any more of those so-called "assumptions" that you so dislike.
I remember the pressure growing up to not show any 'feminine' traits. From not playing with dolls to having a toy gun or sword, they made it clear that roles of men an women were pretty defined, even with the games and toys, maybe especially with those.
It must have been Hell to hear the kids talk shit in the locker room, that is when I heard the worst homophobic nonsense. People trying to prove how totally hetero they were by being hateful about gays. Steroids make you stupid.
I wonder if the men who make the decisions are just being selfish, from a money perspective media. They profit by selling to the biggest group, even though some movies do depict men as objects of desire for WOMEN.
So, in order for men to be portrayed as objects of desire for other men, the gay people have to make it economically feasible to media moguls, then more depictions of men in ways that gay males find arousing and mentally true will be written and made into books and movies, perhaps?
I love it when women objectify men it's a turn on for me. Why do all girls have to act like bisexuals or asexuals? Me I want a real woman.

I personally find certain men, as well as women very beautiful when they are nude. It depends on what kind of shape they are in.
