  • Gotta love Bono tearing the mic from Sir Paul towards the end.... real power struggle.

  • Damn! I've got to drag those old VHS tapes out and watch them--I taped the entire thing from MTV, way back when. It was on my birthday. the song that started it all............

  • Gives me goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so much good people and such few microphones that bono and paul weller have to fight for it -- this is the ultimate charity overkill!!!

  • It was unfortunate that Phil wasn't able to play the drums as he had left for the American show,

  • Paul Mc Cartney, Bono Vox e Fred Mercury juntos fora os outros grandes nomes!!!!

    Demais!!!!

  • its shit

  • Bono, you're awesome, live aid was a turning point for u2...

  • Regardless of how the money was spent, Live Aid was a magical moment in our history.

  • This Is Rare Video Thank you very much~~~! LIVE AID '85 FOREVER

  • I would rather have heard Stuart do that solo than Bono's squawky voice.

  • @dbc1dc

What's the name of that guy singing that part?

  • @degree7 Before Bono? Not sure. There is a clearer version of this on you tube with better camera angles an I still can't figure it out.

  • he doesnt even sing it here but I LOVE FREDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • awsome, also would have loved to hear freddie!

  • I agree with us: Fredie forever

  • Wouldn't have been great if after they said "Thank you and goodnight, over to you Philadephia", the audience started clapping to the tune of "we will rock you" or "radio ga ga"? lol, everybody would have looked at Freddie.

  • All of us in stadium been watching the Phili concert too for hrs at this point. They alternated from late afternoon with Wembley & Phili. Most of us thought we were gonna watch rest of Phili concert in stadium; when we found out it was costing THE CAUSE tens of thousands of pounds or was it hundreds?every single minute London concert ran over it's time, totally engulfed in THE CAUSE, we were ALL happy to leave as soon as we could. WE were all looking at ALL on stage & each other, all very moved!

  • Did you see how Bono grabbed the microphone from Bob? It looked rude. Freddie should have sung more at the end. Freddie looked so sweet right there......

  • It was just his line to sing so he needed a mike.

  • Freddie should have been the lead singer there since he missed the studio recording...Freddie was the greatest.

  • @AmplifiedShot word. True legend up there with other legends.

  • Bono's voice steals it all ;p

  • omg freddie should had sing a little bit more

  • All of the people were so happy on that day...I wish I could have been there. The thing that makes me kinda sad is the fact that they were trying to help Africa, but the situation is still the same over there :( in 2006...sad

  • africas still the same ebcause they spend the aid money on guns

so dont try give thm mony frm now on

  • they spent it on a cure for aids and u see how well that didnt work what a waste of money

  • Ropey as shit, but what a blast!!! I remember everything about that day!!! It was the most amazing experience, and as Bob said "it might be a bit of a cock up"!!! ;)

  • This is the one video i have been looking for since discovering youtube, and now I must go out and buy the Live Aid DVD! It's amazing to think I was only 2 when this all happened.

  • i wasn't even born yet :(

  • Me too...was you born in 1983?

  • no, actually its 1991

  • lol

  • @melsterdoom 11 years before i was born :(

  • I was wondering when someone was going to put this up. A perfect finale for the London show. Thanks for sharing!
