He's better than above average. He's might be the best pure shooter ever. It's just most pure shooters in the NBA don't ever amount to much other than being specialists. Look at guys like Jason Kapono, Steve Kerr, Dell Curry, James Jones. They're role players, but man can they stroke the ball. Very rarely can guys like that dominate in the NBA. Steve Nash and Ray Allen are about the only exception to that rule, and they have the size, speed and skill-set to do more than just shoot.

@SSky06 JJ is working on all different aspects of his game! He's now making way more points than last season and recieves more playing time. He isn't a role player anymore...he's THE importants sixth man (besides arenas) of the Orlando Magic.

Take a look at Michael Redd. Everything he does is shoot the the ball.

Or Reggie Miller. His skills weren't great. He was clearly not a good athlete. But he was shooting the the ball good as anybody in NBA history.
