  • Wow i was always a tina fan , but big props to dawn in this video she is about the age i am now , about 50 and she is just beautiful in this reunion.

  • Even though I prefer Ginger over Mary Ann, I think Tina Louise's attitude toward Dawn Wells is totally snotty. I she didn't like the role why did she take it? All I want to know is why did Louise backdoor a perfect standpoint in her career? The point in her career in which everybody knows her as Ginger, not Tina!!!!

  • classic!!!

  • I find it very sad that they never got to do that movie that bob talked about in the beginning he seemed so enthusiastic about it to.... :( and this reunion was made just in time it seemed as if alan hale, jim bakus, natalie shafer died just afterward :( RIP

  • What a wonderful group of seasoned actors of the old school...Alan Hale seemed so loving, and I will always love Jim Backus for his lovable Mr. Magoo...

  • This is fantastic! I love it! The whole cast, and Sherwood Schwartz!

    Thanks for posting this!

  • Back up off Tina Louise, people.

  • Bob Hope, Jack Lemmon and the cast of Gilligan's Island should all live forever.

  • Tina ( ginger ) in her orange towel and Dawn ( maryann ) in her over sized light blue shirt

    during the night scenes .

    my after school crushes .

  • YES ! What a cast and crew,I love all of them ,best sitcom ever and it was funny. Got all 98 episodes on dvd.I can look at them and feel better about every thing! Thanks to all of you !

  • And may Sherwood Schwartz rest in peace who passed away this year, 2011.

  • A reunion of the Gilligan's Island cast aired on May 18m, 1988 with a custom set, audience members and a barbershop quartet singing the theme, cast member trivia, and more. This would be the last appearance of all the regular cast members together

  • @HNK222 thanks for posting this. truly wonderful seeing the cast once again for those that remember and love this show.

  • Just saw Natalie (Luvey Howell) in an old James Cagney movie the other day. She looks the same!!!!!

  • Thanks God for making this show for us... it has brought us all together in a special way .. my wife and I share our memories about the show and how we watched it growing up .. thanks for those wonderful memories .. thanks .. RIP to the castaways who have passed on .. we forever will remember you .. 2011 note

  • I always laugh at how their radio's batteries never died...

    :)

  • @ywmpg Yeh, they did. That's why the professor made that pedalling bike to charge up the batteries.

  • Very amazed that Tina showed up. Someone probably told her that it was the Ginger Grant show...btw, Mary Ann SUMMERS and Professor ROY HINKLEY.

  • Sherwood schwartz died today in L.A. He was the producer.

  • I like how Sherwood Schwartz agreed with the critics. He said the critics thought the show silly and ridiculous....and they were right. But what magnificent, entertaining silliness!

  • I feel sorry for all the people around my age (I'm 14) who have never seen Gilligan's Island....they're missing out so much...this show is better then all the current shows and such.

  • Ginger honestly HATED the series!!! He left a few times and was always brought back - becasue she did not want to be know as "hard to work with"!! I am AMAZED that she showed up for this reunion - she usually does not bother!!!!

  • just happened on your site WOW thanks for the memories Bob Denver aged well and I remember the "Dobie show sweet memories

  • MrBritBright: I've read up on Ginger. Tina Louise was lied to in order to get her onto the show. I think it was her agent who said, "They want you to star in a show about a movie star & all her friends stranded on an island." In reality Gilligan was always the star. She gave up a great opportunity with Carol Burnett to do this, & hated it. All's well that ends well for us: She was stunning & funny & I love her, regardless!

  • @TubeSteak007, everything you've said about Tina Louise and Gilligan's Island I've heard, too. I think she's gotten a bad rap over the years because those people never knew the facts.

  • Tina Louise sure aged gracefully. It's unfortunate that she wasn't more enthusiastic about the reunion movies and such.

  • was awesome cast of Gilligan's Island on that show then had Jim and tammy Baker what a downer lol

  • Bob Denver looks too cute with grey hair and without Gilligan's hat welded to his head Lol

  • I still can't get over that Tina Louise actually took part in this. I wonder what her feelings were right after it was done.

  • I watch this show everytime it's on TV. It's one of my alltime favorite shows and I'm 17!!!

  • what I wouldn't give to be in that audience that night... reunions & such are never long enough; I would love to sit & talk with them for hours.....

  • Tina Louise is the only cast member that did not age well. At the time of Gilligan's Island, she believed she was the star of the show, not Bob Denver. She told by the cast who was the star of the show. Bob Denver at the time was not present on the set This is the reason she refused to appear the reunion movies.

  • @caprice6 and she wanted more money

  • I just watched all 4 parts to this. It's so cool that they had all of the characters, plus Sherwood Shwartz there! These videos are priceless! Thanks for putting them up.

The Skipper and Mrs. Howell looked like they hadn't changed a bit, and on a side note, I thought Dawn Wells was smokin hot!

Gilligan's Island is one of my all-time favorite shows. Thanks.

  • I watched this show religiously after getting home from school in the '80s. Even if I'd seen an episode 5 times before, I took time to watch it and take a lil break from doing my homework. GIlligan's Island was my daily dose of comedy relief. Loved the show!

  • Great memories of this show back when I was a kid! Thank you!

  • This is soooo cool, xoxo to The Castaways!!!!!!

    Amy :)

  • This was awesome to see.

  • Anybody know what they died of?

  • @TheSteverino1 Gilligan died of pneumonia and squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx. Skipper died of thyroid cancer. Mr. Howell died of pneumonia, while suffering from parkinson's disease. Mrs. Howell died of cancer.

  • @gmn545 It's horrible to hear how they died (such similar illnesses too) but lovely to know that everyone still holds them dear to their hearts. Gilligan's Island andf the memories of these fantastic people will go on forever.

  • RIP:

Thurston Howell, III: Jim Backus (1913-1989)

    Skipper: Alan Hale, Jr. (1921-1990)

    Mrs. Howell: Natalie Schafer (1900-1991)

    Gilligan: Bob Denver (1935-2005)

  • @bloggerdude2005 did they really died?

  • nvm

  • @bloggerdude2005 Actually Bob said Alan was born in 1918, though I have heard both.

  • @funnyfotos1 1921 is confirmed since it's on his certificates, but some cinema works disagree, giving 1918 instead

  • @bloggerdude2005 Also, RIP Sherwood Schwartz: November 14, 1916 – July 12, 2011

He died just a few days ago. Schwartz and his great work will never be forgotten!

  • @bloggerdude2005 What about the others?

  • @blarson12 I'm pretty sure Dawn Wells, Russell Johnson, and Tina Louise are still alive...

  • @PianoMan53100 Wow, i wish them long life. Its sad that the others died one after the other.

  • @PianoMan53100, yes they are ! :)

  • @bloggerdude2005 Need to add Sherwood Shwartz.

  • Great video. I loved this show watched it everday after school in re-runs they will never be able to make shoes like this again. Mary Ann is still hot in 1988 she stole all of Gingers thunder and Tina has never gotten over that and it shows in this reunion show.

  • @mythic89 Yeah I read she was a real prima donna. She actually thought the show was about her before they started filimg like the name Giligan's island wasn't a hint.

  • He is totally wrong about Ginger mentioning Debbie Dawson "many many times" . The fans know the show the best... 4 blankets? Where did that come from? Great seeing them all together again.

  • This was a great reunion for all of you GI fans. And just in time. Jim Bakus (Mr. Howell) died the very next year. Alan Hale (skipper) died 2 years later and Natalie Schafer (Mrs. Howell) died 3 years later. Loved it.

  • alan hale was clearly one of the nicest and humblest guys in show business.

  • @recordjnky

One person who was considered for the role of Skipper was Carrol O'Connor, whom would later play Archie Bunker. Sherwood Schwartz made the right decision though; he thought O'Connor didn't look too lovable enough.

  • @bigpopparamma Jerry Van Dyke was considered as Gilligan but he did My Mother The Car.

  • This would have been a dream come true for me to be with these wonderful people I grew up watching. I got to meet Dawn Wells once and she was so nice.

  • It's great that all 8 of them were able to get together one last time ... Jim would be gone in less than a year, Natalie & Alan in 2 yrs.

  • Thankss so much for uploading.. this is very beautiful yet nostalgic =)

  • You have to wonder: When they were able to get together the entire cast from "Gilligan" for this reunion ..... why on earth did they devote any portion of that hour to Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker????

  • you took the words right out of my keyboard

  • Just the best and most wholesome show -- I'm glad I grew up with them :)

  • thanks for sharing! i loved that show. i would watch every day after school.

  • Thanks for uploading - I remember seeing this back in '88, and it was obvious this would be their final reunion.

  • favorite rerun show back in the early seventies, everyday @ 4pm.. those were the good ol days

  • I will miss them all when i am older...

I loved them and ran home from school to watch them at 4pm.

  • Just found this and watched all 4. Man you can see every character except Ginger in the faces and attitudes. Not usre what her problem is but thanks for the memories!!

  • Ginger is obviously tired of being typecast and seems the type of be ashamed of her age, as she was originally cast as a babe.

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT didnt she say (Tina) that the show ruined her career because she was type cast ???

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT She seemed to light up when Jim Backus and Natalie Schafer entered the stage as did everyone it seemed but besides that she was very quiet. Perhaps it is just her personality some people are that way I for one am.

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT True...she seemed to have something through her ass for some reason for pizza's sake!

  • just sit right back and youll here a tale....

  • i thought-Ross Shafer did a wonderful job--natalie was in her late eighties--great wit-thanks ever so much--this wouldve been the last time-they were together--tina probably appeared because of respect to sherwood-

  • Thanks for the upload~!! (:

  • Thanks so much for uploading! It was so fun to watch!
