Oi Animado, your instruction is really clear and very easy to understand. Now I can really try this with all your cues in mind and I'm pretty sure I'll nail now with your tutorial. Thank you for posting
The same day I learned this tech? I used it while sparring with a boxing-wrestling friend of mine. I faked the shot (double leg takedown) and went instantly into this tech. Not only did I nail him with the kick (pulled it otherwise he'd've been really hurt but still dropped and kinda stunned him) but I landed completely away from him so he couldn't launch a counterattack if he wanted to. Yep folks...I fight with my capoeira. There are still capoeira warrios *cough ANDERSON SILVA cough*
@grurbanopt76 I was a whole lot closer though when I executed the tech and it wasn't really a full on kick it was much more of a angular bashing knee. I'm going to see if I can put up a video of it in the next few days to a week...
Oi animado, can I make a suggestion for the next tutorial? au sem mao! Hope you can make one! your tutorials are always so detailed and extremely helpful! axe!
Hey can you tell me what is the name of the blue shoes the first guy is wearing?
Or at least the brand?
I think it will be cool to get a pair to play in the roda as they are so smooth. Haha my brothers will be crazy when i get in the roda with the blue sky on me feets!
hey animado, how do you use this floreio? sometimes i see capoerista do it blind, not facing the opponent with legs towards them and sometimes they do it facing opponent..? Is this just preference? Do you know proper execution of this floreio? obrigado
@Chained2theGround Excellent question. i prefer to ALWAYS face my opponent, yet I have seen many Capoeiristas use this as an attack. if you go in blind, the legs with drape over your opponent. i have seen the blind maneuver throw several people off rhythm and catch them off guard.
Hello! This is very good tutorial. I really like your style of explaining, it's much better than you can find in other videos on YouTube. Can you possibly make a tutorial of Au Batido? Cause it's cool trick and I can never understand how to do it. Best wishes!
Excellent video man :) Can i ask you. Are you spinning on your plam as you would with Piao de Mao? Or are they hips rotating enough for you to make that spin?
Great job guys there, another cool tutorial easy to understand. Love this move, and I couldn't find the way to learn it, but I finally see what comes after what ;). As somebody just said, could you think of making an au helicoptero tutorial? I'm trying to learn it for 2 months and nothing, I'm just hopeless now..
Thanks for doing this. When you do tutorials, the format I'd prefer is for you to do the move once, and then to do in an depth explanation. I did like seeing it incorporated in a larger game, too, but would prefer to see this at the end of the video.
once u can do capoeira, kickboxing and parkour will become easier to learn in a shorter time period. Why? Capoeira involves stretching, several kicks AND fast movements and the training of all muscles. all u need
once u learn kickboxing, parkour and capoeira will become probably more difficult, because of the unknown new movements.
once u learn parkour, kickboxing and capoeira will be also difficult, because you have to learn to be tense, which u don't need in parkour.
Bro u should do more videos, you explain technique really well...

so what are the differences between au trocado and au de costa. the seem to be mechanically the same
juniorbeat 6 months ago
@juniorbeat
when you attempt au trocado, you leap off of the opposite foot... Doing so, doubles the difficulty.

also is this any way related to butterfly twist? seems like the leg motion with hands on the floor.
