ok i'm generally here just for the makeup by my god the french version to paint it black was b-rilliant!!! i hope to see more halloween tricks (sexy vampire?)
Hey there Amy. I recently bought some liquid eyeliner for the first time.. And I'm not entirely sure how to use it properly. Do you think you could do a tutorial for applying liquid eyeliner on yourself? Thank you! <3
sorry i'm so slow. i just realized the name of the songs were on the side. sorry.! :) but i enjoy watching your videos. they're really helpful! keep up the good work :)
that's really nice. i definitely will use these tips the next time i go clubbing at this mob club in LA. but I was wondering if you knew what the names of the songs are in the background because i enjoyed listening to that as well.
great look Amy! Can you please tell me which brush you used in the crease, nice clean line! And is the product that you used to press the shimmer on called the blend and fix?? Keep the great vids coming! :)
Maybe so! Since you didn't know what an eyelash curler was!!!! Hahhahahaa! How's work? I have really liked the filming of your last couple of videos. I don't know if I mentioned that before!
Click on the more button in the description text to the right of the video. All the shades and brands are there. I always list them, because I get so many questions about the products.
The Shiseido inkliner is great because it's a brush tip *rather than felt tip* which means you can apply it very neatly and precisely. It's truley fantastic. Mum and I have been using this particular brand for 10 years!
WOW, that sounds fantastic Amy. One reason why I always have problems with liquid eyeliner is that it looks too thick. I have to try this one. Unfortunately only one store in the UK stocks Shiseido (Harrods).
Thanks for listing the products. Great idea!
Good night (it is nightime where you are right? here in London is only 10:27 am)...
It's currently 8.20pm! My boyfriend and i are babysitting my mum's 2 little dogs (plus my 2 puppies makes 4 dogs all together). And we're making a nice seafood dinner. And getting the place together, cos Megan and I are going to have a nice girly day tomorrow doing facials and watching old movies! It's going to be fun!
Have a great day tomorrow, Amy! WOW, I am so jealous... It is Spring where you as well right? My boyfriend lived in Australia for 6 months a few years ago. He absolutely loved it...
Oh it's definitely not something you'd wear to the office or to a party! It's a very mod feature, the sharp single line over the crease. The mod look was all about geometrical shapes, and monochromatic makeup.
I copied the Vogue cover that this look is famous for!
I've had that book for years now! Well kinda, because from that book I wanted to buy eyebrow wax, but then I was really conscious in doing this video, that I didn't copy Kevyn Aucoin! I have a picture of the original vogue cover in a vogue book that i had! So I tried copying that!
i love your tutorials( your voice and songs!)they're really helpful. And your models are beautiful and pretty both Megan and Summer!thanks for sharing!
He did his version of the original Vogue cover. It was originally photographed by Richard Avedon in 1967. I copied the picture from my Vogue book with the original Twiggy pic.
Although... Kevyn Aucoin does do it too. But I didn't copy his version. I was conscious of that, because I do have the book! Except for knowing that you can use the wax to cover your brows! That I did get from him. He was a genius!
i wasnt saying that u copied it may i wrote it wrong. but yes i do agree his was a genius when it came to creating looks. I truely beleive he was the best.
I completely agree with you... he was the master. He was and still is my no. 1 inspiration. He was all about flattering the face, not about trends.... and that's how I feel about makeup!
Exactly it was flattery. It was all about creating character or changing your look entirely w/ just a little lipstick and eyelashes. Or just even on those days when you're not feeling so pretty because we all have those days. But it crazy how just a little concealer and some color could changes just the way you feel about your self you can almost say it like therapy w/ out the big bill it's like bringing the inner beauty out.
And even being a makeup artist I still love the way it feels when you just finish doing some ones make up and telling them "here take a look" and seeing them smile w/a glow on their face "saying I love it". I just can't get tired of it. It's a great feeling.
Exactly! Because i really do care about making my model look and feel beautiful. I used to model in my late teens, and I hated having my makeup done. I felt like no one cared about my face, they were just slapping on a standard look that they do. I've never felt anyone brought out my face, quite like I do when I do my makeup.
And I take this same philosophy with my models. I look for how to tweak the face, and bring out the features the best way I can! And in staying true to the models face, they are happy!
Right I hate how some "makeup artist" out there can just throw any color on your face and calling it a masterpiece w/ out thinking on how it will look.
. I remember I had to do some lady's makeup and all she wanted was eye shadow and after I did it I wasn't happy w/ it I had to do the entire face I couldn't just leave her w/ out doing her whole face that just wasn't me u cant just do half the job not very professional what if she would do it and what ever she would do wouldn't go w/ her eye shadow it would be just awful plus remember half my work was on her lol so I did her a favor and she like it . So I was happy.
Oh thats great! Ive actually tried my makeup w lashes & all & liked my outcome but I wanted to be more creative YET authentic, u kno? As far as the hair, I tried & failed miserably! I did the big swoop loopy curl thing in the front on one side but couldnt figure out what to do w/ the rest of my hair! I also have long hair so its hard especially since I have 2 try 2 fit in a nurses hat lol I knew u would be the perfect person 2 ask for inspiration & ideas. Ill be looking forward for that one!
Hey amy, great video. This halloween im being a sexy pin up nurse ;D Could u do a pin up make up look and maybe a pin up hairstyle, im kinda stumped as to wat to do to my hair to make it look like those pin up girls! but can u definetly do a pin up makeup PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE??? Besides I kno that era is your area of expertise Thanks!!
I was going to do a pinup chick look for my halloween series!!!! Seriously I was!!! I was going to do it on my models on Sunday but we didn't get time. And I was going to try a hairdo too.
Hahhaha... and it is my fave era! Well noted!
I'll try and get it done this week. I think the girls are coming over this Sunday again. I want to do it on them.
Oh awesome!! I tried to do the Twiggy look once... lol I like yours a lot better. :P I'd love to hear more about the seller of that brow concealer wax, though, that product would be perfect for this coming Halloween, I bet. As usual, awesome video! :D
I just copied the original photo of Twiggy on the cover of Vogue. You can make it a more cartoon style flower, or you could even get really artistic and do a series of flowers looking more natural.
You're so delicated and cute!

Yes. If you want a really great black eyeliner/khol pencil, I'm now using Stila's Kajal eyeliner. It's brilliant!

Amy, this look is absolutely gorgeous... Couple of questions...
What make is the white frosted eye shadow?
and What make and colour is the lipstick?
Also, is the inkliner by Shiseido any different from the ones made by other brands?
I absolutely love this look which can also be done without the flower (if we want to use it during the day).
Thanks Amy.

I just bought my first even MAC product today.
I bought that Primer stuff for your eyes.
Does it really work?
Oh and a question.
I get laugh lines and my make up goes into them and it looks wierd.. I'm only 19 (I should stop laughing heaps =D)
But I'm thinking if I put some primer int he laugh lines, before applying my foundation, would it help prevent it creasing?
xx
