  • That Tinkerbell float is cool but there is nothing like seeing that Blue Fairy light up behind that gate. Although I have to say, it does look pretty cool when the gates open.

  • @Themeparkpioner I agree with you wholeheartedly.

  • did they ever say why it took till 9"00 to get it going that night?

  • @Disneydanny: The parade was actually scheduled to begin at 9:00pm that night.

  • I wonder why DCA didn't get both loops of music for the Alice floats

  • I honestly like the other one a lot more

  • Hmm... That explains the emphasis on symphonic sounds rather than synthesized sounds in his interpretations of the Electrical Parade.

  • I notice that the whirlybugs come in separately from the other parade floats. Is this safety reasons and is this done in Tokyo (not only Alice but also Finding Nemo) and WDW (SpectroMagic fish)?

  • I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. The whirlybugs have always been separately operated vehicles, free from the other floats in the units. They've been that way since the beginning. In Tokyo and WDW, this also done as well. If you take a look at some video of Tokyo Disneyland's Electrical Parade and WDW's Spectromagic, you will see that they also have their own whirlybugs or whirlybug type vehicles.

  • You see, at the beginning, around 2:06, when the parade gate opens, the Turtle is off to the side, and as the parade goes on, they start taking their places with the other floats. Why is this?

  • Ah, I see. Well, I don't know exactly why this is. I do know that I've seen what you are talking about just about everytime I've seen the parade from this spot. I would stipulate that it's not protocol, but rather just for kicks. It was always fun seeing the whirlybugs back there through the door start spinning when those doors opened. I think it is just part of the show. :)

  • Great video!

I actually prefer the old soundtrack to this one, and the Blue Fairy opening the parade as opposed to Tinkerbell, but the way the floats look is wonderful.

  • Greg smith did the soundtrack for "Dreamlights " in Tokyo thus that's how he got the job of updating our soundtrack. I like the Cinderella music in this version better then Tokyo's

  • Anyone know if the new soundtrack is available to buy?

  • Who is Greg Smith?

  • Thanks Jim. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • i found out the answer begins moving as soon as the gates open, in this case 1:58

  • lol. Ok. That's what I thought.

  • when do the lead float physically start moving, when they open the gate or when Baroque Hoedown kicks in?

  • That's an excellent question. I'm not too sure myself. I have to watch the tape back.

  • luv the lights on u & the show! happy summer! fab show! :)

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • Very cool intro. Can't wait to experience the Parade next month.

  • Thanks for the comment Terry. The intro is kinda cool, it just needs be worked on a bit, I think.
