@UltimateSaiyan12 Natascha is more of an assistance weapon in my opinion, slow the enemy down and let your team finish them off. As a lone Heavy, she's useful against Scouts though, once you slow down a Scout, the lesser damage of Natascha is kinda equaled out by the Scout's low health.
@UltimateSaiyan12 I've got the Brass Beast, but it makes the Heavy absurdly slow, he becomes an even easier target for snipers. I like the regular minigun, it's a bit more flexable. Brass Beast isn't bad for defense though!
@TheDBZDood All classes in TF2 are pretty versatile (i.e while pyros are useful on the frontline causing chaos, they're also very useful back at the base keeping spies at bay), so while a heavy is best when enemies are coming at him, he's also capable of clearing a room of enemies so the rest of the team can fall-in.
the fact is , most of the players that play the heavy , are noobs , just aim and kill , allright , but you can't say that EVERY heavy player is just like that. I've seen so many heavies that ruled the world with the famous heavy-jump , or facing a surprise spining , good heavies are pretty decent , and always good to the team . They are just like spies , or you KNOW how to play , or you are just a noob. :) ps : I play both of them , mainly ;p
Well who cant dominate with heavy?? im not saying that you are bad fro playing the heavy (i play him too sometimes) but its pretty easy to dominate with him he has the longest life, he has a minigun, and he is really big.
(If im saying something bad its because im mexican lol sorry)
No one plays Heavy because it is by far the easiest class to do well with. The "skill" required by the Heavy is basically aim, but that's required for all classes, and is much more difficult with all classes due to the cone of fire from the Heavy's minigun being so big.
This is shown easily in this video. Also, playing against dumb people makes Heavy seem godlike. Play against people that know what they're doing, and the Heavy, due to the lack of a skill ceiling like other classes, is weak.
@Tzacharu123 While in terms of control, the Heavy is indeed simple (i.e point and shoot). However there are many differences between a good Heavy and a poor Heavy, it's all about thinking ahead and being aware.
The Heavy is slow, loud and big, so you need to be in the right place at the right time, as the spin-up delay can catch a Heavy unawares. A smart Heavy knows where enemies are, and when to expect them, and gets in a position where he is most effective. There's more, but I'm out of space!
The video shows two things: opponents of the heavy here are rather weak, only as example: soldier is standing there like a boner instead of jumping and launching. Spy gets minigunned every single time, instead of backstabbing the heavy, when shooting for 3-4 secs in one direction. There is more.
Nevertheless this heavy is ok which is a second thing. Try urself at ukcs.
I play heavy myself, so I know what I'm talkin ebut.
@Tzacharu123 Surprisingly there are still so many terrible heavies out there that are oblivious to their medic dying and also charging in thinking they are the best.
I'm sorry that I say this, but playing a Heavy requires absolutely no skill. Almost as bad as a Pyro. You go around, and when you see someone, you shoot. That's it.
I love heavy on this level me and my mate i was a heavy my mate was a medic we didnt die and went in and out of there base 3 time's with the intel it was a win :)
I am a Heavy player. All I ever see anymore are scouts, soldiers and demomen, like they have taken over the world. I hear people dissing on Heavy all the time! It was really refreshing to see a Heavy frag video you gave me hope keep up the good work!
@deyahdn3 Check the date on this video, TF2 didn't have bots back then. Also, there's a few points where players are using voice chat and sending messages.
@LEtheCreator A "Frag" is "a kill". And yeah, it's kinda weird that Heavy is the least played class when he's the face of TF2. I know personally he was the first class I played due to the "Meet the Heavy" video :D
Oh dude, so I tried out using Heavy on 2Fort like I commented at an earlier date, and holy crap it felt awesome. Every time I went Heavy on 2Fort, by the time I get 5-10 minutes of play time, I was either near or at the middle of the scoreboard. I mean, I'm still not as good as you, but I'm pretty proud of myself. This video did actually inspire me. Hahaha. Good video man.
@alondite8 Nice work! Keep at it, once you learn the layout of 2Fort, you can pretty much dominate the server. If it weren't for those damned snipers and spies.
@00Mk000 I am not a "Heavy" player. I just tried out Heavy at 2Fort. Most of the time, I'm either a Medic or a Pyro. I'm already pretty good at both so I wanted to try something new. Nowadays I'm switching between Sniper, Demoman, and Scout. So please, don't assume that I'm a "noob." I'm just trying to be useful as every class. It's called being versatile, which, you probably aren't.
@Wimble333 it's surprising how many people do that. I mean, Pyros, sure, but other classes should be going "shit shit shit, Heavy Heavy Heavy, run run run!"
@fireaza Soldiers especially make that mistake a lot, they seem to forget that rockets are med-long range and run straight up to you before quickly trying to walk backwards, emptying their launcher. And has anyone lese noticed that when someone goes up against a soldier they ALWAYS try and try one direction with the strafing, then switch directions after about half a second, getting killed by a noob soldier who doesn't even lead his shot?
How so? Sure I'm slow when firing and an easy target (which is why it would be a good idea to either kill the Solly quickly, or avoid him!), but in order to be effective with the shotgun, I'd need to be close, which makes me an even bigger target. Plus, I'd need to give up my previous sandvich!
nice frag video, ill admit heavy is one of my favorite classes, but also my 2nd least played(reset stats for fun lol) i do love close range based class and the heavy is alot of fun to play, but he has huge disadvantages.
1. hes reaaaaaaally slow and easy to hit,
2.his minigun windup time makes him wait about 2-3 seconds before fireing, also he gets slower.
and 3.hes so friggen big! making him easier to hit.
What you've just listed there are all of the Heavy's intended disadvantages ;) If he didn't have those, he'd be unstoppable! But a good Heavy player takes those disadvantages into account, i.e having the minigun already spun-up if you're expecting enemies.
i agree with you, i love playing heavy but its always the movement and chances of survival that bother me. there should always be atleast one heavy per team
Pyro would be my second most-played class. I occasionally play Demoman too. This video was made post-Heavy Update. I'm hardly a "noob" I've been playing the game for well over a year, and I've just cracked 100 hours as the Heavy, with an average of around 20 hours for the other classes.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
omfg dude, if ur not a noob and have played over 1 year you shouldnt be using sasha, demo or pyro. You rly should start playing like the ppl that knows how to play the game. Cus you do have some skills. And why the fuck do you still use sasha? cus u think -25% damage is much? natasha is alot more useful against ppl that are trying to escape/scouts/pyros.
I think it's most important to be able to play all classes. After all, if no one plays Pyro because "noobs" play them, Spies are going to have a field day. As to Demoman skill... Have you seen the insane shots pro Demo players pull off?!
Natascha is certainly useful for assisting your team, but I prefer Sasha's increased damage. It's hard for a player to run away when they're dead ;) Really, one's choice in weapons come down to preference and the situation you're in.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
eeeh... have you ever heard about w+m1? thats what pyros do to own the other team in less than one minute. and have u ever heard about "Nade spam"? that's what demomen do to own any1 that doesnt jump around as scout in less than 4 seconds. (3 seconds), there is no such thing as pro demos or pyros and absolutely no pyro or demo skills.
Sasha is more useful if you just wanna stand there and shoot at the enemies without killing them while they kill you.
Granted, the Heavy is a pretty simple class to play (though there are a few tricks to playing well), but he gets the job done and is a blast to play. CP maps tend to be more open, not ideal for Heavy, just like how closer quarter maps are not ideal for Sniper. But still, I could show you how I do...
There is no denying the Heavy has his problems, especially after everyone else's updates, but sometimes he still works. 2 or 3 times in the past week I played the Heavy and topped the scoreboard with a few dominations, too. I don't play all that often and neither was everyone else an idiot, nor do I usually "kick ass" in TF2.
When I play Heavy, I regular top the scoreboards, and that's with both RED and BLU's scores taken into account. And these are random matches I'm joining with people of all skill levels.
Depends on your play style. I enjoy the "subtle-like-a-brick-to-the-face" style of the Heavy. The great thing about TF2 is, with so many different classes, there's bound to be one that really appeals to you. You'd be surprised how many people try to charge you, when they do flee like little girls at the sight of you, that's part of the fun! Obviously, I didn't make all those doms without someone getting a revenge kill, my total dominations on players who had yet to get revenge on me was four.
You know reason why i dislike heavy? its boooring. shooooooot and walk sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly. ok u can kill retarted ppl running at you or if u manage to ambush em like the heavy medic. but most of the time. you wont get the kill cause most people are smart enough to avoid close range heavy. id say if u dominate half the enemy team with 0 revenges. thats okay . but prove it by checking the player list otherwise your 10 dominations aint worth a shit.
This takes no skill whatsoever
