@chocoluver15rox yea, hold the home button and the power button, once u have done this just hold it untill the apple logo apears, once the logo appears let go of the power button but do not let go of the home button, once the ipod sais connect to i tunes or watever, then u kno u have reset ur ipod and it is no longer jail breaked...

@n95master12345 i believe tht it will, i you pay attention to this video, before he updates the software to his ipod, at the bottom of itunes their is a bar tht tells u how much of the memory is being used, and how much free space he has left, his ipod has has the bar filled up the the middle, which means he has some music, applications, photos, ect. stored now, when he completes his update, the bar at the bottom of itunes is now empty, so my guess is yes, all memory and data will be erased...

if you are having problems like its the wrong firmware MAKE SURE YOU ARE DOWNLOADING THE RIGHT ONE FOR IPOD TOUCHES/ IPHONES!!!! 1G, 2G, 3G are different and these devices require different firmwares hence the site has different version firmwares for each ( but the same type of firmware Ex. 3.0) gOOD LUCK WORKED FOR ME THANKS!!!

Yo i Just went on and it said download so i did now im gettin it i have 1 g now to 3 g

I put mine into dfu mode and it worked!!!! To put in dfu mode hold the power and home key until the unit powers off then release the power key only. Continue to hold the home key and itunes will respond that you need a restore done. I hit restore (didn't even have to hold the shift key but make sure you have the software downloaded) Voila it worked!! Thanks for saving me money!
