I wish John Denver were here to see me. He had the same love of the wilderness as I do.

Truly one of JDs best this was written at a low time of his life, with his marriage falling apart and his father's death; he could still find the joy in life. I know the general area in which he wrote the song (the same place where he wrote "Love is the Master") and I can assure you it IS a wonderful wilderness.

When I sing this and when I hike in my Rockies, I will carry JDs spirit with me for all my days.
