  • Choosen to go into space?! You've got to be kidding.."Bugs Bunny"wasn't choosen to fly to the moon..he was forced to do it.BTW:"Marvin The Martian"(in his first encounter with the rabbit)sounds too much like "Bugs"here.

  • Wait a minute Bugs doesn't have a wife or kids yet Lola wasn't introduced til 1996 in Space

Jam That's when he has a wife and kids

  • Jeez Marvin, head cold much? o-o

  • I like the "Kilroy was here" reference. :D

  • Animated By Pete Burness. 5:13 to 6:23.

  • GET ME OUT OF HERE!

  • 5:47 to 6:12 is a classic trick of bugs bunny.

  • 2:25 to 2:52 is hilarious

  • Am I missing something with "Kilroy was here"?

  • @Auron12786 It's a graffito that appeared all over the place during the forties and fifties.

  • @Auron12786 During WWII, when the US Military sent advance scouts into enemy territory, they would often leave graffiti of a man with a long nose and the message "Kilroy was here" as a joke to other soldiers, who often though they were the first men into the area.

  • I got a wife and kids, millions of kids! That was great!

  • 5:21 an ad on the receiver, classic.

  • @Tron239 Mel Blanc did all the voices in this cartoon. This was the original voice for Marvin, and then Blanc changed it.

  • @avalanchesuperstar @Tron239 Yep that's it. Mel Blanc always did the voice of Marvin as he did in this short. It was one of the first and Blanc wanted a more fierce demanding type of voice. So Blanc just perfected it to the voice of Marvin we've all come to know. I'm glad he did! The name "Earthling" and "Space Discombobulator" just wouldn't be the same...lol

  • 5:41 to 6:18 That trick works every time.

  • 3:08 "Kilroy was here" XD it's awesome to see the places that kilroy visited

  • WATCH OUT FOR SPACE GREMLINS!

  • "I have a wife and kids...millions of kids!!"---I'd hate to have Bugs' child support payments!!!!!

Isn't that new Looney Tunes show on Cartoon Network a disgrace???

  • "GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!"

  • Today is Marvin's Anniversery!

  • I wonder what Marvin looks like with out his helmet on.

  • @sMCCarthyTV1 Its in The Looney Tunes Show. The Reunion episode where Marvin was a nerd. He looked very weird. Just look up a picture: Marvin The Martian No Helmet. Your Welcome.

  • he sounds wierd becuase its his first appearence and he didnt have the voice actor we know at that time

  • @TheAzzkicker3000 Wait, Mel Blanc did Marvin's voice in all the Looney Tunes shorts he was in. This is him if the opening credits are right. Maybe he just hadn't perfected the voice yet.

  • Marvins voice sounds weird :O

  • Bugs Bunny looks pretty good as a Martian lol. Too bad he and Marvin never teamed up!

  • Marvin in his early years. Very surprising

  • i love marvin the martian!! though i prefer the recognizable voice he has that we know so well. great cartoon!

  • great toon!!!!

  • 2:29 Best series of facial expressions evar.

  • bugs bunny is my favorite looney tune character

  • "Heh, the nerve of this character." God, so amazing.

  • Oh dear, this is ,most inconvenient!

  • wow, this was made 1948 what a classic

  • Can someone explain what "Kilroy" was all about? I see it all the time at home but I could never get that across my mind :-/ If someone please tell me, thanks so much

  • @sjrswimfan it's a type of graffiti used in world war 2 to identify americans

  • @OfficalDoubleJ Now I see, thanks so much!!!! I needed to know that :-)

  • 1:33 to 2:03 LOL

  • 5:41 to 6:18

  • a moon rabbit ^^

  • Classic, "GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!"

  • Really good video quality, man! -thumbs up-

  • I want a dog like K-9 (the green Dog)

  • Killroy was a meme that predated the internet, spreading world wide by allied soldiers.

  • @wikiporno2

    What does it mean?

  • @SonicsniperV7 Wikipedia has a great article on it. wikipedia(.)org/wiki/Kilroy_was_here

  • The music at 1:18 (during the rocket launch) is "Siegfried's Rhine Journey" from Richard Wagner's opera "Götterdämmerung".

  • Marvin's voice is different in his first appearance.

  • Duh, no I won't!

    Meh, oh yes you will!

    lol

  • A.C. Gamer, What an Awesome Name!

  • 5:20

    Crumbly Crunchies are the best

    Look delicious on your vest

    Serve them to unwanted guests

Stuff the matress with the rest

  • @hackensac

Sung to the tune of "Little Brown Jug."

  • @hackensac

hehe that little jingle is so funny. I could use that as a ringtone lol

  • It says "Fasten Seat Belts" when there aren't even seats in the ship, let alone seatbelts. It's strange how the ship is gigantic to Bugs on Earth, but on the moon, it fits his size.

  • Well, yes. I have prepared a statement: GET ME OUTTA HERE!!! Classic Bugs. Giod bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it!

  • I understand that this cartoon was first released in 1948, but how could it? I thought that such rockets being launched into space with a passenger inside would be something from the late 50's and 60's. Heck, Sputnik I was nine years away from being launched into orbit when this cartoon came out!

  • @GameStation3 -- "Flash Gordon" had been flying around the solar system for years before Bugs Bunny landed on the moon, and you'll notice that all of the rockets resemble the Germans' V-2. Marvin the Martian even has a "V-16".

  • There's a beautiful Earth out tonight!

  • MARVIN THE MARTIAN HAS BEEN INTRODUCED!

    RIP Mel Blanc
