What happened her is that Malkin felt the slight shove and quickly processed 2 things.

1. If I dive here, I doubt I'll get called for it, and since I play for Pittsburgh, I'll most likely get a penalty shot.

2. While I'm diving, I can slide into Henrik and hopefully injure him, I can easily blame it on Girardi anyway.
