  • GOING ON THIS IN APRIL WATCH OUT FOR A VIDEO OF MINE SOON!!! well in april anyway but its gonna be TIZITE!!

  • imagine being on the top of the climbing wall during a storm rofl i would fient and fall down

  • it was cool, i was in cozumel the other day onboard the Norwegian Epic. about 20 minutes after we left port the Oasis of the Seas was right behind us. the 2 biggest cruises in the world 500 feet from each other :P

  • I'm going on that. $1200 each for 4 people. $1800 total. I'M RICH!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty awesome

  • taliban best book there tickets now lol

  • GREAT VIDEO! BUT WERE YOU GET THE SOFTWARE FROM TO MAKE AT KIND OF SIMULATION PLEASE!

  • GREAT VIDEO! BUT WERE YOU GET THE SOFTWARE FROM TO MAKE AT KIND OF SIMULATION PLEASE!

  • great video but u know what software they use

  • вот это да...!!!!!!! супер!!!!!!!

  • @MissNataliaStars speak english!

  • It's not my kind of ship, more for kids.

  • FYI - More adults use the amenities than kids. Just don't go on the ship during a scholl vacation week! I made that mistake, It wasn't all bad, the kids stayed mainly on the kids deck. The kids that were playing with the elevators really got to me!

  • Not sure I like the first part of this video when it states "if youv'e got the money". Very misleading. Every new cruise ship is expensive to go on when it first comes out, espeacially the large and innovative ones. Just wait a year or wait till the last minute when booking and you can probably get on this ship at a much lower price.

I have to say, I'm kinda supprised that STX is a Korean ship building company. Didn't know that.

  • oasis is built by korean shipbuilder stx

  • @SuperKingda Um, no its not, its made in finland

  • ...by a Korean shipbuilder STX.

  • ....But it was buit by aker Yards, it only became STX Europe recently, so Its not made by a korean ship builder.

  • you know what i dont get....

How the hell does that thing float!! =)

  • It weighs less than the volume of water it displaces.

    OR

It's made of floating steel and has legs in the bottom.

  • Got the money there next year

  • Interesting that Oasis is set to arrive in its home port for the first time this FRIDAY.....the 13th! I guess this proves that nobody at RCL is superstitious.

  • I thought the point of going to the seas was to enjoy the water and NOT shopping malls. IF that is the case, then go to your nearest mall !!

  • Shopping is tax free and just kidding if I want to enjoy the water I can use a swimming pool .

  • Hehe. You got me there.

  • If its got so many facilities whats the point of it actually going anywhere? Who's going to want to get off?

  • Announcer: "Next year, if you've got the money..."

    LOL. Whos DOES any more???

Pre-global recession extravagance headed straight for the financial iceberg.

    Bon Voyage!!

  • still a lot of people with money to spare out there. the people that earned a lot of money during the good (relatively speaking) times.

  • Made in Finland

  • yup

  • Imagine if the Castro's dictactorship going down this motherfucker huge ship embark in any CUBAN Bay.

  • the dawn of another titanic ehhh...!!!

  • lol agreed

  • so do I -_-

  • Commissioned by Royal Caribbean International, the ship cost $1.5 billion and took two and a half years to build at the STX Finland Oy shipyard in Turku, southwestern Finland.

The official naming ceremony will be 10 days later. The ship will embark on its first cruise — a four-day trip to the port of Labadee in Haiti — on Dec. 1.

  • We know how to do everything. Finns have to always do everything and everybody thinks the japanese did it.

  • Somalia pirates are going to have fun with this one!

  • @remy5858 LMFAO you the best bro!

  • This ship can take a puncture to its hull and only have a 10% lean.

  • Naval capacity that UK & USA lost.

  • .... na da mag ja Sprit verbrannt werden ohne Ende - da kann das Tankschiff immer gleich hinterher fahren; So wird das nichts mit der weltweiten CO 2 - Reduzierung!!!!!

  • This thing is as big as a starship. I think by law all cruise ships should be more like the Maltese Falcon.

  • im going on this ship next spring break 2010!!!! im so excited!!!

  • I just got of the monarch of the seas, and I thought it was huge. this is almost double that size.

  • Hmm, "Made in Finland"! The ship looks great. So the three world largest cruise ships were built in Finland. Funny thing is, that when i saw document about it in US, they didnt even bother to mention it.

  • Well, almost 70% of people building that are from russia or estonia. Mostly becos that sort of work does not interest finnish youth...

  • I want to live there. :D

  • Mon fils travaille sur l'Oasis. Il est en Finlande à Turku présentement.

  • In English?

  • Google says:

My son works at the Oasis. He is currently in Turku Finland.

  • chanceux!

  • wow, just wow

  • I want to go on it but all I worry about is if the ship is going to sink

  • the ship wont sink, the waight is balanced between the port, starborg, bow, and stern. The ship would need to bang into something, something big!

  • Well anything can happen. People said that the Titanic is unsinkable, and it sank.

  • hello, that was over 75 years ago, the technology is a lot better new!

  • it might be the best technology but you never know what will happen.

  • They said that 75 years ago too. XD But I'm with you, che chance of that boat sinking is very low.

  • HOLY FUCK!! that's awsome... i wanna be on it^^

  • wow, me likes!! always wanted to go on a cruise ship, i could get into some fun trouble on that thing

  • 5 times the size of the Titanic= 5 times the fun!

  • 5 times the chance to sink as well!!!!!!!

  • actually, u would need a huge puncture in the boat to sink it. if the pucnture was as big as the titanics, then it probably wont sink

  • even if it did sink, it would take hours! even with a lot of damage it could stay afloat....the andrea doria was up for over 9 hours b4 it sank.....however i very much doubt it will sink, thers just so many new safty aspects.....however...mebe a terror target :S

  • That is exactly what they said about the Titanic and then her sister ship Britannic which then had all of the safety measures that were absent on the Titanic it sank even faster. It all depends on how much damage the ship suffers. Just because it takes one ship to sink several hours doesn't mean it will be for another ship.

  • This ship could sink in 2 minutes if the situation is right... It's not exactly seaworthy either... Not that it's going to be doing anything the QM2 or something is doing... It's gonna hang out in the caribbean praying not to get hit by a rouge wave lol

  • everybody prays not to get hit by a rogue wave you smartass...

  • or an iceberg like titanic had to go through

  • wow thats big, me and my family booked a cruise on that, the ship is not finished to be costructed but we are going on july 2009 in a balcony D1 category cabin.

  • it doesn't sail until december 2009

  • yeah i know, sorry i meant july 2010

  • need to put A GIANT TELESCOPE. so we can STARGAZE. no ship TODAY has a TELESCOPE TO LOOK INTO the sky and moon and stars

  • The MALL SHIP

  • PUT A nascar racing track there, would be fun if they have bumper cars and go-cart races

  • it SUCKS BIG TIME

  • 8 engines * 17000 horsepower = 1.4 million horsepower?

    Does not compute :P

  • I have my room booked 1/23/10

  • All making idiotics comments.... the hotel in Dubai is the 7 star Burj al Arab, the ship in question is much longer and wider than the Freedom of the Seas, get your facts, go take a cruise.

  • WTF are you talking about man? Who are you to make a statment like that are you an Engineer of some sorts?

  • everybody!!!listen just make 10X longer oasis then put some floaters in the side!!!!!!!!!! think think think. morons afcourse!!! the technology will provide it for safer

  • kitsch..

  • i bet if you asked if this was possible 50 years ago, everyone would say it would sink like a rock the minute it hit sea. I wonder how they make these monsters float

  • its not th much bigger than the freedom of the seas nothing is goin to be different

  • Comment removed

  • 47% bigger to be precise in Bwt

  • I don't like cruise ships. Not even this. They are just for fun. I like a lot ocean liners because they are just a piece of history

  • umm wow duh there for fun. what do you think they are making them for you wierdo.

  • they don't simbolise anything. there is no honor to work on such ships. you can do the same things on the land but in an ocean liner you can spend relaxing time thinking at the history of ocean travels and that you are now a port of it

  • nicest cruise line ever!

  • The most interesting thing about it, this is the start of the super liners, I heard 5 yrs ago, there planning ocean liners 1km plus in length..will be floating cities with 50,000 or more people. So large they won't even be able to enter most ports, will use shuttle ferries/ next gen helicopters to transport people into the habours.

  • I got a absurd idea-Lets build something like this ship from solid concrete. There is no need that it is floating- so it cant sink. There is no need for engine- all the energy from shore via cable.I have seen that most of the people onboard on such ships have no interest where they are(my own observation).Much cheeper is to build shiplike island in some nice place (Something like that six star hotel in Dubai)

  • i can see this boat being another titantic because of how huge it it and how would every body be able to evacuate this monstosity boat when every one is going crazy and about to die i hope they make this and have really good intentions with it

  • I have always wondered how a ship of this size can withstand the stress of rough seas...I do agree this is a monster.

  • Its a great engeneering, but why is it so big. You lost all connection to sea- so why make a sea trip if you cant feel it, In my opinion its to much urban style. Where is the spirit of sea travel?

  • Новый "Титаник"

    New "Titanic"

  • I'm right there with you. Can you imagine trying to evacuate this monstrosity? I dont mean to be a pessimist here but we need a reality check! Engineers are getting cocky and this whole of idea of there is no limit is a completely naïve approach. Designers say they cant imagine any modern day maritime disaster that technology has gone beyond that thanks to trial and error

  • But hey! Doesnt that sound a lot like what Captain EJ Smith said? And look what happened to his ship the Titanic!!! If anything was to happen to this leviathan we could very well be hearing about a disaster that would make Titanic trivial!

Fascinating ideas but how safe is this generation of cruise liners?

  • This wouldn't be my 1st choice but something I might eventually consider. I've seen her "loft" style 2 floor cabins and they're nice. At the very least it isn't yet another damn Panamax, Conquest, Destiny or yet another Vista Class clone from Mr. Arison.

Finally, a brand growing the cruise experience..it may not be liked but at least it is different.

  • I know this was a year ago, I couldnt help but add a comment. Ive been on Royal Caribbean before and my Father was a Hotel Director on board. All passengers run through an emergency evacation drill before leaving port (lifejackets and all), you are assigned a life boat, you know what staff members are your team leaders, and you even know where to stand while you wait to get in to a lifeboat. The world learnt from the Titanic, todays cruise ships are much MUCH safer, regardless of size.

  • Correct, and this process is governed by SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea). Typically, only people who haven't cruised before seem to bring-up the old Titanic life boat issue.

Chalk their comments up to being uneducated about the subject or scared to cruise.

  • He said it has eight 17500 bhp engines producing a total of "One million four hundred thousand brake horsepower." His math is a bit off on this. That is 140000 bhp, which is very powerful. It would be novel to go on this monster.

  • i want to go so bad on thet ship!

  • aah this ship is building in little Finland Turku :D Suomi RULES!!

  • Building it atm :) Duunissa siellä ollaan :)

  • :D jep, kivat sulleXD

  • This ship is like no other ship today, few could have imagined this concept of a ship a few years ago, with the splendor of a ship like this, imagine how a large cruise ship would look like in the future would look like,

this is certainly a wonderful time in this era of cruise ship development. I can't wait to sail on the Oasis of the Sea.

  • I would be a platinum member but im 12... so but my grandparents are dimond

  • Im a Diamond Plus member and i am going on the maiden voyage and i cant wait

  • i am also going on the maiden voyage, it will be so much fun!
