@terriw118 Im so sorry you loss your beautiful son I too lost my son he was five day old. He was born jan 30th 2011 and passed away feb 5th 2011. Yes I know that would be 6 days but i dont count the 6th day because it was so early in the morning.

@sharenwendy Just remember physically he maybe gone but memorys are never gone and the faintest memory of a loved one is greater then anything else, My mother lost my brother on his 19th in '92 which is new years eve,We all miss if but if u didnt miss the people u love....then u never truly loved them~hugs you~ ^^ just smile your son will be watching and looking over you from where-ever he is :).

@FukoffEmoKid My hope when I wrote my songs for my son after he died was that somehow someway he would hear my singing up in heaven and know how much I love and miss him. I didn't want him to think I forgot about him. I do believe he does hear my songs and I think it makes him happy to know how much i love him.
@sharenwendy There is no thinking about it. Your son hears this song each and every time someone plays it. My Nonnie told me after my boyfriend died, that when a loved one goes to heaven God creates a bridge between your heart and theirs. It lets you send your all thoughts and love to them. Lets you feel their love and know they are okay.
@natashaTbird777 I am in tears right now, Natasha. Not only do I feel the exact same way that your Nonnie did, but my grandkids also call me Nonnie; and you are the same age as my son, Carmen. He would be 24 coming up in January. I wrote the songs so Carmen could hear them in heaven, and I think it's true that every time someone listens on Youtube or plays my cd he hears me singing to him.

@Mirtha623 I know exactly how you feel. It is the most horrible, dark, empty, sad, place a human being can know. I wrote this song about a month after my son died, but I didn't have any arrangements with it, I just wrote a poem & created a melody for it to sing to my son. I thought maybe if I sang loud enough he would hear me & come back home. Then I wrote six more songs & then produced a CD of those songs for him called Whisper On the Wind. Maybe my cd will help u. I couldn't imagine the horror of losing a child (I don't have any kids), but I've lost a sibling and my parents, so I somewhat can relate to the emptiness the loss of a loved one leaves in one's life. Hang in there, like me, and try and enjoy all that life has to offer you (but not in destructive ways, of course). Be kind to yourself the same way you are kind to others and this will bring you peace. @PebbzGalaxy I am so sorry for your loss. Yes, there is a Facebook page called Grieving Mothers. I think it was only created maybe 7-8 months ago and it already has over 7,000 mothers join. Imagine that, 7,000 of us on one page all sharing this terrible nightmare.
@sharenwendy I'm a member of that FB page... it helps a lot but I wish there were more mothers like me who lost their child at an older age than through miscarriage , stillbirth, or within the first year. My heart is truly with those mothers but I lost my son to murder in a rural area when he was 16 1/2 and our pain is just as intense but it's "different". There's a page for those that lost older children but there's drama on that page and when I need support, drama isn't what I want. :)
@ebbette I understand, the last thing any of us needs is drama. Our minds are strained enough w/out having to deal with turmoil. I definitely shy away from drama & chaos & prefer to kept my life simple & peaceful. It's the only way I have found that gives me the serenity to go with the flow.

I have served in the Marine Corps for 6 years and I have lost a good buddy Josh Adams, He stepped on an IED (improvised explosive device/roadside bomb) out on patrol in afghan. I had never cried so hard until I saw what happened to him.. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sun you'll see him again. And great video.

@vickiormindyb I am sorry for your loss and for your friend's loss of her daughter and grandchild. As far as the things people say, yes, they say that to me too. One of the first things that I'm asked is whether or not I have other children. I think people think that my pain will be eased this way, and in a way it does, but only because I have these relationships..not because it eases my pain for my son who died. Each child is an individual relationship, an only child, and irreplaceable.

I don't know this person yet, and I don't feel comfortable in this skin. Did you become so interested in the interpersonal ideas before or after? I never really thought that much about life until now. I just worked to support my kids. Now, things changed..

I am sooo sorry for your loss. I lost my mother in 2007 and my only sibling in 2008. I am still struggling and going to counseling. I have 4 boys and I cant even imagine what that is like to lose a child. I wish there was something I could say or do to make it easier for you but there isnt. @izzybeangreen hi...you're right, it is a mother's worst nightmare, but it does happen. if you meet a mother who has lost a child, no matter how many years have gone by, smile and tell her that you are sorry for her loss. time stands still for her and even if 50 years have gone by, she will still feel like her baby died that day. you can't move forward from it, u just create a whole new u while the other u just lays in wait to be reunited with your child.

They say stuff like, "get over it" and "I lost my dog you know" But I understand that they couldn't possibly relate, how could anyone unless they actually lose a child? @xstrawburreyx I am really sorry for you in the loss of your sister. You knew her spiritually and you both were formed at the same time in the womb and that's why her memory still haunts you. Do not underestimate the power of this connection. Many women are haunted their entire lives by the loss of children who died in the womb. I am not surprised in the least by your grief.

@vjdunham1958 thank u....yes, his anniversary just passed on Sunday. i started out just writing poems to him...but it just wasn't strong enough so i decided to create melodies for all my poems and thus my songs. then i took it a step further a year later and decided to record them professionally. His cd is the most important thing I have ever done in my life, so far.

It will get easier as time goes by, but the first couple of years are horrible. I wrote this song a month after he died and so the words, "I'm nothing but a shell now, broken, lonely, sad and numb" are probably where you're at right now. He was 26 years when he died. He was driving a truck for his work and something broke on the front end of the truck, he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a garbage truck. He lived for 6 hours in the hospital but never awoke. We are nearing the first anniversary of his death. Lots of anxiety and sadness. He was married with a 7 year old son. A parent should never lose a child but a young child should never lose a parent either.

I lost my son too 16 years ago in a car accident ... He would have been 23 years old if he is alive..... Nobody will ever know how devastating it is to lose a child , unless one experience it.... I miss him every minute and every second of my life .....It is the worst thing that could ever happen to parents .....

He would be 24 coming up in January. I wrote the songs so Carmen could hear them in heaven, and I think it's true that every time someone listens on Youtube or plays my cd he hears me singing to him.

@Mirtha623 I know exactly how you feel. It is the most horrible, dark, empty, sad, place a human being can know. I wrote this song about a month after my son died, but I didn't have any arrangements with it, I just wrote a poem & created a melody for it to sing to my son. I thought maybe if I sang loud enough he would hear me & come back home. Then I wrote six more songs & then produced a CD of those songs for him called Whisper On the Wind. Maybe my cd will help u. That was a beautiful tribute to your son and shame on the person that "dislikes" this song! I couldn't imagine the horror of losing a child (I don't have any kids), but I've lost a sibling and my parents, so I somewhat can relate to the emptiness the loss of a loved one leaves in one's life. @sharenwendy I'm a member of that FB page... it helps a lot but I wish there were more mothers like me who lost their child at an older age than through miscarriage , stillbirth, or within the first year. My heart is truly with those mothers but I lost my son to murder in a rural area when he was 16 1/2 and our pain is just as intense but it's "different". There's a page for those that lost older children but there's drama on that page and when I need support, drama isn't what I want. :)

I have served in the Marine Corps for 6 years and I have lost a good buddy Josh Adams, He stepped on an IED (improvised explosive device/roadside bomb) out on patrol in afghan. I had never cried so hard until I saw what happened to him.. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sun you'll see him again. And great video.

My friend lost her daughter, and unborn granddaughter, to a murder. They're son-in-law, the daughter's husband, did it.
The thing my friend hated most is when people would immediately tell her 'You have other kids.'
She said to one of them 'Go home tonight and look at your three kids, then come back and tell me which one you can live without.'
I don't even understand why they say it, but maybe that's b/c I lost a relative to murder. Not a child but someone in the family.

@vickiormindyb I am sorry for your loss and for your friend's loss of her daughter and grandchild. As far as the things people say, yes, they say that to me too. One of the first things that I'm asked is whether or not I have other children. I think people think that my pain will be eased this way, and in a way it does, but only because I have these relationships..not because it eases my pain for my son who died. Each child is an individual relationship, an only child, and irreplaceable.

I don't know this person yet, and I don't feel comfortable in this skin. Did you become so interested in the interpersonal ideas before or after? I never really thought that much about life until now. I just worked to support my kids. Now, things changed..

I am sooo sorry for your loss. I lost my mother in 2007 and my only sibling in 2008. I am still struggling and going to counseling. I have 4 boys and I cant even imagine what that is like to lose a child. I wish there was something I could say or do to make it easier for you but there isnt. @izzybeangreen hi...you're right, it is a mother's worst nightmare, but it does happen. if you meet a mother who has lost a child, no matter how many years have gone by, smile and tell her that you are sorry for her loss. time stands still for her and even if 50 years have gone by, she will still feel like her baby died that day. you can't move forward from it, u just create a whole new u while the other u just lays in wait to be reunited with your child.

They say stuff like, "get over it" and "I lost my dog you know" But I understand that they couldn't possibly relate, how could anyone unless they actually lose a child? @sharenwendy I have so many more videos in my other account that I share with my daughter, MontylounMommytoo. He was sick and choked on his own vomit. No illegal drugs or alcohol involved. Just a freak thing. We have the graveside service tomorrow. Your video is wonderful. It's good therapy to make these videos, I think.

@ChiefWP that is terribly heartbreaking...... I am so sorry for this loss of yours. All I can say is I know how devastated & crushed you feel right now. It will get easier as time goes by, but the first couple of years are horrible. I wrote this song a month after he died and so the words, "I'm nothing but a shell now, broken, lonely, sad and numb" are probably where you're at right now. Mine was totally unexpected too, he was here one minute, gone the next. Your son loves u. Lean on him.

He was 26 years when he died. He was driving a truck for his work and something broke on the front end of the truck, he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a garbage truck. He lived for 6 hours in the hospital but never awoke. We are nearing the first anniversary of his death. Lots of anxiety and sadness. He was married with a 7 year old son. A parent should never lose a child but a young child should never lose a parent either.

I enjoyed this song very much. thank you for putting it out there. I lost my son Sept. 20 2010 in a house fire. This song really captures how i feel. So again thank you.

it will take a long time to grieve. all i can say is that i understand. my heart breaks for anyone who has to go through this terrible sorrow. i have a whole cd of songs that i wrote after my son died. they are all on my youtube channel. tkae care.

Thank you for your kind words. It's not easy to find people who understand the depth of the pain you feel when you lose a child. It is beyond all comprehension. I understand how you feel. I miss my baby everyday, too. It never goes away, ever. You just want them back with you and that's all. I hope my songs give you some peace and comfort knowing that I feel the same way that you do. I lost my son too 16 years ago in a car accident ... He would have been 23 years old if he is alive..... Nobody will ever know how devastating it is to lose a child , unless one experience it.... I miss him every minute and every second of my life .....It is the worst thing that could ever happen to parents .....

Very nice song. I lost my 2 yr old son in a car accident also. (5 yrs ago this Friday January 8th) I wrote many songs since then for him or to him... "Good-Bye Son" is my most recent. I tried to post it as a video response....though I'm not sure if it took. Take care,
