If you were doing this in ESRI ArcScene, you could (should) add the depths so that you have a true 3D web. That way, a video tour could show the deepest, shallowest, how they intersect, etc. Or, is that a security issue?
Awful. Don't tilt, swoop and whirl, it's pointless. You could show its growth as a timesline, cut to places on interest (TV does not use zoom much nor should you). Effects? just because you can does not mean you should.
