  • @sak59 now i come to think about it i think i planted the pepper seeds to late but this this year i have planted naga vipers and the first seedlings are coming up now but my fatalli seeds haven't started to come up yet but hopefully they will come up soon. thanks for the support!

  • @wherlock554y - My pleasure. Naga Vipers!! That's an admirable pepper to grow. Good luck with your garden. If you can, post a video.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrChilligrower - I hope you didn't remove your comment because of something I said or did (or didn't do or say.) I was just about to post a response. I appreciate that you watch my videos.

  • @SAK59 the reason that i removed the comment was because i have 2 channels, mrchilligrower and wherlock554y the reason for this is because i was hopping to upload videos of my pepper plants on the mrchilligrower channel. but when i was logged in on my mrchilligrower channel i posted about the naga vipers so i had to remove it and re post it from my wherlock554y otherwise it might of confused you. from now on i will post comments from mrchilligrower.

  • @sak59 i am very sorry if removing the comment caused confusion i shouldn't have posted from both my channels at the start it`s just i keep switching accounts and it can get confusing about what YouTube account i am on.

  • @sak59 last year i grew a bhut jolokia pepper plant most of the flowers that grew dropped and the ones that did germanate made small peppers what can i do this year to prevent that

  • @wherlock554y - It is so frustrating when that happens. I had 2 7-pod plants that gave me no peppers the entire season. The reason could be almost anything & only the plant knows. If you water too much...or too little. If it's too hot...or too cold. Too much fertilizer...or not enough. If the plants feel stessed & threatened, they shut off the seed factory to conserve strength and all you can do is the opposite of what you have been doing. Sorry I can't help really. I have the same issues.

  • @wherlock554y - But, I don't want you to get too frustrated with the situation. Or upset with my previous answer. Bloom Drop is very depressing and I doubt that there is a single gardener who doesn't get it. It's just the plants way of surviving what it sees as a life-threatening circumstance. If you send me more info on your situation I'll try to help you more. Thanks very much for watching my videos.

  • Awesome I would hope my plants get this strong . What can I do for inside little dirt bugs ??

  • @tkeitha - If the bugs are living in the soil, you should buy some diatomaceous earth to coat the surface. It is composed of finely ground up fossiles, which create microscopically sized, razor-blade edged particles which cut up the insects as they move through it. I've used it many times. It is very effective and completely safe and inert. Good luck with your plants, I hope they do great for. Thanks very much for posting this comment. I appreciate it.

  • @SAK59 Nice plants! As well as better lighting for your y7 pod. You could have given it/them a spray of water/epsom salt, and some worm juice

  • @theitalian556 - Wow! Lots of suggestions in a dozen words. Could you elaborate? Thanks for watching. Appreciate it and the comments.

  • @SAK59 worm juice and epsom salt will help with foliage! You will get greener bushier plants by giving them a nice spray mixed with water once a week. Its better to have more lighting more light = happier plants. Looks like you could use about 4 4ft T5s for all you have growing

  • @theitalian556 - I have never heard of worm juice. Sounds dee-licious. What does that do for the plants? I have heard of epsom salts, though I have never used it. I actually do have 4 4ft T5s. That is exactly what I have. I have considered getting 2 more, though with the couple CFL bulbs I have on, it's already kind of like the surface of the sun down there. The wife is long suffering and lets me play with my stuff but there may be a limit. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it!

  • @SAK59 I understand same here! I'm debating between a 400 or 600 watt MH/HPS light??? I will send you a link about the worm juice to give you additional info about it.

  • @SAK59 Your pepper plants are great! Whatever you are doing keep doing it!

  • @SAK59 Unless you were planning on putting them in some good sun soon!

  • @theitalian556 - Actually these videos are from last year. I put them outside once the chance for frost has passed...usually the end of May. I just have to pamper them until I get to that point. Thanks again.

  • @SAK59 You prob have a back yard? I live in a large apartment complex :(

  • isnt that a lot of work????

  • @45cookie1 - Not if you love doing it. The process is what makes this such a rewarding hobby. Thank you for watching my video and commenting. I appreciate it.

  • Wish I had the variety of peppers you do I'm growing a few different types of peppers some; habaneros, jolokias (so slow), Peter peppers, 7 pods, I'd like to try some fatallis

  • @MarshmallowVogt - That sounds like a nice assortment of peppers. The 7 pods are my favorite. Fataliis are really nice. They have a citrus-y taste like the habaneros. Thank you so much for watching my video and taking the time to post this comment. It was really nice of you.

  • I love how you label and document everything. I wish I could be as anal. Great easy listening voice.....foo

  • @foofarters - Thanks again for your kindness. I really do appreciate that you'd take the time to leave a comment like this one.

  • Hey Is it a good idea to remove the flower buds on a young plant like 6 inches tall? My peter is already trying to bud.

  • @TheFallguy11 - 6" is too small a plant to allow the buds to flower. You would probably rather have the plant expending its energy on growing and developing a large root system to support itself through the fruiting season. Most of my plants are really big now and for the last month I have been plucking the buds off but at this point I am going to stop because there are just too many buds now to keep fighting with the plants. Thanks for watching my video and for the question. Hope this helps.

  • Wow, u still got the Green Thumb!!! Nice plants man. I love the variety of chillies u grow....... We haven't spoken in awhile. Hopefully u remember me. I owe u some pepper seeds. Well, as for my garden, I am growing a bit of everything this year. I will upload a video tomorrow so u can see :) ... As for the peppers, I have 4 Bhut Jolokia plants, germinated from seed. They're doing great! :) Well, hope to hear from u soon :) Take care...

  • @maylitosss - Thanks maylitosss! Of course I remember you. Thank you for the kind words about my plants. They're huge now compared to the way they looked when i did this video. The plants are all over each other. I still have another month or so before I'll even consider taking them out and I'll do another video then. Loved your video, man. Good job. Thanks again for stopping by and leaving a comment.

  • You definitely know your chiles! Nice one!

  • @Gorestein - Thanks so much. I appreciate that you watched my video and took the time to leave a comment. Thank you.

  • iv got one 7 pot and one bhut and i was wondering wat kinda of soil are u poting with i want the best for my peppers and all my plants thats y im asking

  • @2010bowhunter - I have a composted soil with added vermiculite which I have blended 50-50 with a general Miracle Grow potting soil. Once the seedlings have their first real leaves I add a couple Jobe's High Nitrogen fertlizer sticks. At this point, with the plants almost at "adult" size I am watering every second week with water treated with a Miracle Grow fertilizer additive. I have also used Schultz products which worked as well. I hope this helps. Let me know. Thanks for watching my video.

  • Your nagas look really cool. I watched your time lapse video of a tiny naga morich and I was wondering how long it took to sprout. I'm incubating some right now in a jiffy greenhouse. I can't wait until they come up! : )

  • @jbrennan123 Thanks. The Nagas took the longest to germinate. I don't believe the first one came up until about 10 days to maybe 2 weeks. The last one came up maybe 3 weeks or a bit longer. They take a lot of patience. Once they come up they develop slower as well. But they are definitely worth the wait. One of my favorite peppers. Thanks for watching my videos and for the comment. Really appreciated!

  • Thumbs Up! Bring on the warm weather all ready!

  • @stevesrt8 It is starting to get warmer but it won't be reliably warm until June. By then all the plants should be good to go. Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to post a comment. I appreciate it.

  • Always like watching your videos! Great job!

  • @cjbrewer5 Thanks very much! It was nice of you to watch my video and leave a comment. I really appreciate it.

  • @Efetida Thank you. Maybe the largest variety of plants I've had. Really nice of you to watch my video and leave a comment. Thanks so much.

  • Nice selection I see your putting in more plant this year so thats going to be fun to watch ha I think I'm going to beat you in sheer numbers though haha.

  • @slaminblades Hey!! You always beat me. I wish I had more room, but I have only so much space and it doesn't work to cram them in too tight. Thanks as always for watching my videos. It is really nice of you.

  • Nice stuff thats a great mixture you got there!

  • @cob4lyf04 Thanks. Should be interesting to see how they turn out. Ten varieties I've never grown before. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for watching the video and taking the time to post a comment. It is really nice of you.

  • Nice plants!

Growing for the first time this year so always nice to see how others do it.

I started with seeds i got from a chili bought from the supermarket and now i have over 30 plants of different kinds.

I can see this getting out of hand quickly lol.

  • @MrKvisto Growing your own peppers adds a real dimension to the whole pepper experience. It is especially nice that you can grow what you like and not be confined to only have peppers that you can buy at the grocery store. Thank you very much for watching my video and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

  • Nice video! It's fun seeing other peoples methods. Mine are doing really well too! I've made 2 vids so far documenting the progress if you want to check them out. Happy growing :-)

  • @ratdavid9 I agree. I always like to see how other people's gardens look...what they're growing, and how. I'll definitely be taking a look at your videos. Thank you for leaving the comment. I appreciate it.

  • Very awesome. You've got one of my favorite youtube gardens. I can't wait to see how everything turns out this year.

  • @Premnasbiaculeatus Thanks again for watching my videos. It is so nice of you.

  • Nice video, i'm totally looking forward to watching them grow,

especially because i grow some of these varieties, too (7 Pot, Naga Morich, Fatalii if they survive the aphids :s and Birdseye). The Chupetinho is really beautiful, i grew it last year.

Let's hope the weather will be fine and good luck!

    greetz from germany

  • @ThePepperPrince Thanks for your good wishes. I am excited that I have 10 new pepper types to grow this year. The seven pod, naga and fatalii are old friends of mine but the really interesting part is seeing new varieties. I really appreciate that you took the time to leave a comment. So nice of you.
