Geis is a badass, when i heard that the upcoming Ys SEVEN finally had a party system in the series, i knew Dogi would be playable, it's not YS with Adol and Dogi afterall, but i was suprised when Geis joins. always wanted to play as him.

The ark of Napishtim is actually the first of the series that I played and I LOVED it! No doubt people are going to say "It doesn't compare to the FF series" This may be true, but the YS series definitely makes it real close! This theme was one of my favorites from this game and I think it's marked appropriately

Has anyone else noticed that the 4 end game bosses (Ark's guardian, Ernst, Ark (1st form), Ark (2nd form)) are fought in a descending order of difficulty? Ernst is still the coolest fight though, despite being a little easier than the Ark's guardian. Witch makes little to no sense.

Personally I think The Depth Napishtim would have been a better pick. I didn't really like this song until the Ys Seven Mini Soundtrack bonus arranged version of it

Yep, he is a character in the game. This theme plays when you face him head-on.

This is the only Ys game I've ever been able to pass. I actually liked the concept the game introduced more than the game itself. The idea being: if you had a bunch of people from different countries sucked into a place they can't get out of, how would everyone reform their society?

To me, 1:07 to 1:24 gives off a slight feel from Moon Over the Castle from the Gran Turismo series.

I am a grinder and completionist, and I tell you now... Every sword strike had interupt effects, I LOVED IT! Made grinding that first plant beyond the barrier fun. I can honestly say, I beat the first boss on my first try, and felt like yoda bounceing around like a maniac dodgeing and striking. =3

But the final boss... took me 7 deaths to learn the nack in dodgeing lasers, and 2 for its final form. AND I did hard mode right off the bat. Only had 5 of the best potions at my disposal. *winces.*

this is an awesome game but it can still have a lil more to it like other elemental swords like earth and dark and light but that might be a bit too many wouldnt it? i think it should... either way this game was amazing

1:07 - 1:40 kind of reminds me of that battle theme from Breath of Fire in a way.

Not this one. They're bringing 1&2, not this one (which is a remake of the "black sheep" of the series, "Ys III: Wanderers from Ys". This version of the game is amazing.)

Anyway, this theme is wicked, as are most Ys themes.
