i find it hard to say which one is best, as its a bit subjective. but if u look up the latest customer reviews on skytrax, a tendency shows up:
etihad seems good most of the time, but their food is rated as lacking etc. (even though they have a food&bev manager onboard!) and the crew are said to be demotivated, uninterested. where as qatar mostly gets 8/10 up to 10/10. all comments i read they said the food is good n tasty and the staff very polite and professional. . .

Qatar Airways has a pleasant business class product but Etihad has an absolutley brilliant kick ass outstanding super value for money prize winning product! Qatar needs to improve the seating situation for business class. The seats MUST be lie flat in order to compete.

I know I did not have answered your questions directly as I have not presented any psychological factors, but I cannot answer it from a passenger point of view only as I am working as a cabin crew member myself;)
Additionally all the time we have to maintain fully professional attitude. Because when something happens on board people tend to panic (especially when we are airborn). And then we are no longer seen as these lovely smiling people who are there to make your flight enjoyable. But we still have to smile, even if inside we are scared as much as passengers are. Guess this is why it's more professional. It's hard to be everyone all the time at once:) but we like it!
You should try undergoing a training for any aviation related job (strictly one related to aircraft itself) and you could easily understand it. Cabin Crew (along with Flight Crew) is trained how to deal with fire on board, hijack, dangerous materials (any corrosives, explosives etc.), we are fully trained medical aiders (first cabin crew were nurses). Also we know how to deal with any emergency situation that can happen only on board (e.g. decompression).
You are able to travel all around the world (if you are working longhaul), meet hundreds of new people every day of your work, the career path is actually rewarding and promising (airline business is huge, huge environment). If a person is outgoing, cheerful, friendly and just simply happy in life one can enjoy fully such career.
There is not much about being a flight attendant and psychology. This doesn't require any specific mentality. I got a better question to ask, why would people not want to be flight attendants.
As in every job there are good and not so good things about it, but not every job is so diverse as this one.
I have yet to fly EY, and have flown niether of them long haul. I feel that I will enjoy the QR experience more but this is just speculation. I dislike EY's livery although the light gold base on the fusualge is nice. QR has a simple and cool livery, incorperating 2 colors we don;t see in the skies very much.

Personally, I would prefer Qatar Airways becuase of their large route network. To complement this, they also hav very attentive FA's. I would only prefer Etihad on the bases that their FA's uniform looks better then that of Qatar Airways.

Qatar Airways has a pleasant business class product but Etihad has an absolutley brilliant kick ass outstanding super value for money prize winning product! Qatar needs to improve the seating situation for business class. The seats MUST be lie flat in order to compete.
That being said, BOTH are 10 thousand times better than and cheaper than Emirates.

Additionally all the time we have to maintain fully professional attitude. Because when something happens on board people tend to panic (especially when we are airborn). And then we are no longer seen as these lovely smiling people who are there to make your flight enjoyable. But we still have to smile, even if inside we are scared as much as passengers are. Guess this is why it's more professional. It's hard to be everyone all the time at once:) but we like it!

You should try undergoing a training for any aviation related job (strictly one related to aircraft itself) and you could easily understand it. Cabin Crew (along with Flight Crew) is trained how to deal with fire on board, hijack, dangerous materials (any corrosives, explosives etc.), we are fully trained medical aiders (first cabin crew were nurses). Also we know how to deal with any emergency situation that can happen only on board (e.g. decompression).

You are able to travel all around the world (if you are working longhaul), meet hundreds of new people every day of your work, the career path is actually rewarding and promising (airline business is huge, huge environment). If a person is outgoing, cheerful, friendly and just simply happy in life one can enjoy fully such career.

There is not much about being a flight attendant and psychology. This doesn't require any specific mentality. I got a better question to ask, why would people not want to be flight attendants.
As in every job there are good and not so good things about it, but not every job is so diverse as this one.

I have yet to fly EY, and have flown niether of them long haul. I feel that I will enjoy the QR experience more but this is just speculation. I dislike EY's livery although the light gold base on the fusualge is nice. QR has a simple and cool livery, incorperating 2 colors we don;t see in the skies very much.

Personally, I would prefer Qatar Airways becuase of their large route network. To complement this, they also hav very attentive FA's. I would only prefer Etihad on the bases that their FA's uniform looks better then that of Qatar Airways.
