Actually? There IS a entirely logical explanation for Pinkie Pie. It isn't simple, but it does make sense. Catch is: there isn't a whole lot of direct evidence in Season One to back it up yet. There's just hints--circumstantial evidence based on her bahavior, that sort of thing. What you have to ask yourself?

--What would Hasbro DO to Pinkie Pie (as character or as toy for sale) to "power her up"? It's something that happens in MLP. And...

--Her mom. Was her mom ever a pony?
