I know a guy who restores Model T's for a hobby. Back in the early 1900's someone put a model T engine in the fork of a tree and left it there. Eventually, the tree grew completely around that engine until it was lost inside. The guy I know, heard about that engine, bought the tree, cut it down, removed the engine, and restored it to go in a Model T he was restoring. Amazing, and crazy.
"Hi Wayne. Yes, manual spark advance .... manual everything!! Motor is currently out due to finding a broken brake drum in the transmission. Repairs have been made but I've been waiting for warmer weather to shove it all back in and get the truck back on the road - Garnet"
To your Dad: Garnet, nice, my Dad's first car was a Model T, I think he said it was a "22 and he got it for $10. told me about the manual advance and gravity feed gas tank! so now and always , when attending a car show I go stare at those Model T's, the copper bands for ignition wires. all the best with repairs.
