Bach! The music of humanity. All too human and beyond human at the same time. His music teaches us about community and how to live, about accepting differences, where two, three, four or even five individual voices, each with their own character, come together as one. I often say if Bach was all we had we would have it all. All that is.
The music is so beautiful and sublime and sounds more spiritual.I find it soul elevating. Like to hear again and again. Thanks to YouTube for posting the video.

Mr Bach,I shall thank you. When i'm listening this music i inderstand why art is about.. You ate are allways will be the master of music. Schuman use to say " anroud you, all the other are children". And i think this is true. When i eard this music and the cantate " Jesus que ma joie demeure", i understand that you are the master of art in until the creation. You play for god the faher himself.
Well, I don't know. Yes, there are other versions of this melody, and yes, I too prefer the original played in D major, but truth be told, the notes these women play so beautifully by is written by a man. Go blame him.
@svarthjerte I can´t follow you ! What should I blame Mr. Bach for ? I am sure he had a perfect home, a good wife and a lot of children in harmony. Without this surrounding and family life he wouldn´t be able to compose what ever he did !
@Peter1945 Oh, no! I would never faulter Mr. Bach anything. I was, probably clumsily, referring to the adaptation by August Wilhelmj. And I believe I might have been tired and completely off mark, meaning to reply elsewhere, below. My apologies, this is beautiful. Next time I make a reply, I'll make sure to point before I shoot :)

In all of musical era. Baroque was probably one of the most beautifull. JS Bach in particular was probably best at it. His melodies sound so logical that our hearts and ear is so at ease with his music. Bachs music makes us connect to past as tho it was just yesterday. His music do not sound like an alienated peice of music from hundreds of years. It is almost like that is how music is suppose to be.
listening to this, i felt like i was floating on a cloud. it ended, and i came back to reality. i will have to replay it over and over and over again to stay afloat.
although there is no such thing like God , this piece of music makes the man who composed it the closest thing to a God!!! a perfect melancholic melody over a simple but so highly inspired harmony that still echoes like a sweet caresse in our ears after 300 years. He is fairly regarded to be the greatest composer of all times.
Guys, keep one thing in mind. Classical music will last forever. This masterpiece was written in the 18th century, and in our days it still has the same beauty and power it had at that time.
So, while Classical music has survived the centuries, common songs pass, their age pass, until very few remember it.
Think, does anybody here remember a song from 1910's? Anyone?

Women never seem to get along with each other. That's why they blew the rhythm on this part.
