Well, I don't know. Yes, there are other versions of this melody, and yes, I too prefer the original played in D major, but truth be told, the notes these women play so beautifully by is written by a man. Go blame him.

In all of musical era. Baroque was probably one of the most beautifull. JS Bach in particular was probably best at it. His melodies sound so logical that our hearts and ear is so at ease with his music. Bachs music makes us connect to past as tho it was just yesterday. His music do not sound like an alienated peice of music from hundreds of years. It is almost like that is how music is suppose to be.

although there is no such thing like God , this piece of music makes the man who composed it the closest thing to a God!!! a perfect melancholic melody over a simple but so highly inspired harmony that still echoes like a sweet caresse in our ears after 300 years. He is fairly regarded to be the greatest composer of all times.
