This is likely due to the fact that China does not have a legal protection law for good samaritan citizens who come to someone's aid during a medical emergency like the U.S. does. In China, if you try to help someone, and they die, you can get sued or even arrested. China should impliment such a law in order to no longer appear as a barbaric backwards third world country who's citizens do not care for the well being of little children. Execute that driver for choosing to run the kid over twice.

I was hit by a taxi driver on young st. riding my bike as best as I could close to the parked cars but far enough so that I didn't get hit by possible opening doors. After I got hit, not a SINGLE person came to my aid. There was at least 20 people there, only one person asked if I was ok. They were on a cellphone. I was obeying all the rules, and being as careful as I could be. Thank god I was wearing a helmet.

I was hit by a taxi driver on young st. riding my bike as best as I could close to the parked cars but far enough so that I didn't get hit by possible opening doors. After I got hit, not a SINGLE person came to my aid. There was at least 20 people there, only one person asked if I was ok. They were on a cellphone. I was obeying all the rules, and being as careful as I could be. Thank god I was wearing a helmet.

Well I think this is a global problem. Anyone walking by could have called an ambulance. Now I am no fan of China (for my own reasons I like chinese people just fine though :)) There was a man stabbed in America(I'm American) and people just walked by him, and HE WAS HELPING A LADY WHO WAS BEING ATTACKED BY HER BOYFRIEND!! The end result is tragedies like this.
